News / Politics / Activism Shot fired by off-duty RCMP officer goes through Oxbow, Sask., home in 'terrifying' incident
RCMP confirmed a neighbour — an off-duty officer — discharged a firearm in their home. In a statement to CBC News, police said the officer was alone at the time, and the bullet went through a wall and damaged an adjoining residence. No injuries were reported.
"I saw the gunshot originating from [the neighbour's] window, but I was like, 'Well, maybe we had a hailstorm,'" Aleysha said. "There's no way that an RCMP officer shot the house and we don't know about it."
No one was home at the time of the incident other than the couple's pets, and no one was injured.

Gun and gear reviews How some Canadians companies stand by their product.
With Sterling Arms standing up for themselves against the prohibited classification the RCMP put on the R9, and winning, it got me thinking about the Crusader Arms Crypto. Those guys came out with a rifle that met the new laws, then pumped out a bunch of beyond subpar rifles with worse than Chinese QC. Made a pile of cash and as soon as it was banned, did nothing to stand up for their product. Instead created another piece of garbage.
Not to just bash CA (well, maybe a little, actually a lot), we now have seen what a good Canadian firearms manufacturer does. Makes a product, stands by it, then fights for it. Their win, to me anyway, shows what companies we should actually support.
After CA removed their website, blocks peoples comments on Instagram that comment the issues they have with their new Backland Hunter rifles I am genuinely shocked anyone can still support them by giving them a dime.
Anyway, I'm kind of curious what other people's thoughts are on CA doing nothing to fight for the rifle they developed, that also being a fight for their customers base. Especially now that we have seen Sterling Arms having being successful with their R9 reclassification. Will this maybe get them to take a stance for the crypto classification?

Feets / Collection / My build Semi-auto .22lr reliability
What would you say is the most reliable semi auto .22lr on our market, and using what combo of ammo and magazines? I recently picked up an SBI ST22 and a few TUFF 22 magazines, working on figuring out what kind of ammo they like. Also, share your .22s

Buy recommendations Shotgun Recommendations for Multiple Uses
Got into a gun club and I want to get into Trap & Skeet Shooting, but I also want to be able to go hunting once I'm comfortable with my shots. I can not decide between an over-under, a pump-action, or a semi-auto. I'm new to this and have a budget of $2000, $2500 max.
Is it possible to do these different disciplines with one shotgun? Or should I choose between range shooting and hunting, then buy a different one down the road?
Hoping to get some recommendations for this; not sure if I'm being too vague. Feel free to ask me some questions if needed! Thank you in advance.

Buy recommendations Looking for good .223 options
Looking at getting a 223 for target shooting at local range, I was looking at some of the savage models like the Axis II or Apex Storm, but I see a lot of mixed opinions on them. Would it be fine for target practice for a beginner? And before you say it, yes I have a 22, I was just looking at someone with slightly more kick and range.
Edit: im seeing alot of tikka T3x replies and all im wondering is: A, is it worth the extra 400 above the axis 2 and B, do i need a $1500 range .223

Application / Regulation advice Question about purchase risk?
So I have just got my PAL and I am mostly looking at buying a bolt-action historic rifle out of interest in owning one and shooting it probably a couple times a year.
One thing that has struck me is the posts about the new Mikasi and another which has a similar vibe to it. Are those of you purchasing these mostly just eating the risk of more confusing and random bans, or is there something about these rifles that make them a more safe purchase?
I was googling if it was possible to get a 22lr M1 Clone, which I found, only to realise it had been banned as part of sweeping regulation on M1 Carbine-appearing rifles, which is about as nonsensical as it gets.

Gun and gear reviews Sulun Arms Gen 2 Spas Review
Ran some 1350 6 shot out of the spass-12 today, I think it needs some more break in for sure. But still ran pretty good. Semi auto felt a little weird with high brass considering I was running low just fine yesterday. But all in all it’s a spas, if you’ve owned an original you know they don’t always run the best, this is honestly the best bang for your buck if you’ve always wanted one. I’ll keep you guys updated if anything breaks or how it’s running in the future. In the mean time I’m gonna put some more shells through it and go skeet shooting with it (dumb idea but I don’t care lol)

News / Politics / Activism in theory. Could the FX9 make a return ?
With the return of the RL9 coming back from recent news of sterling. Could most 9mm rifles make a return? Always wanted an FX9, was planning on getting one before the ban never got the chance to get one. What are the chances? could the similar thing happen to this firearm ?
