Post image

I used a black toonie for my black rifle.

I only wish I had done it immediately because I shot maybe 800 rounds without one, and my rubber washer got a bit chewed on one side. It’s still in there doing its job though. Shot 300 rounds of CCI AR Tactical with the mod last weekend and had 2 light strikes.

What rifle is this on/in?

It is the TM-22 A12+ (that is the 12” pro metal version in black. Mine also has Alex’s Homebrew T charging handle, bolt hold, mag release, and 1-4X LPVO, plus magpul rail covers and hand stop.)

Derya TM-22.

The rubber shock absorber/damper under the buffer tube gets slapped a lot and can eventually wear through. Adding a toonie stops that, but reduces the damping slightly. It's a common mod for that rifle.

I thought they’d switched to a delrin insert a while ago, or maybe that was O’Dell adding that back then they supplied the A-18s

I think it was O'Dell. I have a TM-22 16" Pro, a relatively recent model which I believe was brought in by North Sylva. It has the rubber stop.

I got the 12” last month and it has a polymer damper

Huh, maybe it's just the 16s?
