what's do you guys think is the best platform and caliber for longe range shooting?
Im using an Accuracy International AX rifle currently chambered in 308

The saddest thing is our inability to share spots like this without the fear of them being destroyed by dipshits. I've got a legal spot like this fairly local to the Fraser valley that I'd LOVE to share with everyone here but the moment you do all the cloud hunters and litterbugs show up and ruin it for everyone

100% agree with you! I shared a spot before and now it turned in to a camp ground for the wrong crowd, there's people camping there all the time even if I go on a week day!

I really think it depends on where you are located and how far out you can shoot often. I shoot a 308 usually if im shooting within 900m. Beyond 900m I plan on building a 300PRC but until I find a place I can reliably get to that has a good spot to beyond that range I dont find the cost worth it.

308 is my favourite!
I shoot both 308 and 338LM, I have no experience with 300PRC but ive been hearing lots of good things about it

Just cant beat the costs of 308 over magnum calibers, i can shoot all day with the 308 and not want to cry about the costs haha

its a 5 hours drive a way from Vancouver just to get to a spot like this!

Just curious, which direction are you driving 5 hours? East? I’d love to know the general area

Do you set up a perimeter around your target warning others of the target?

there's a big hill behind it as ui can see plus this area is so remote that you can only access it in the summer,

Way better view than my little farm shooting range in Ontario 😂
