If someone is stupid enough to buy this with out doing any research on pricing before hand, they deserve it.

Honestly honey, I'm trying to sell it!

u/iatekane 15h ago
Exactly, nobody is actually paying this absurd prices and people getting bent out of shape over is is so silly 🤪

u/567432Gains 16h ago
I’d pay $1200 which some people would say is already overpriced. $3300??? This dudes nuts.

People are going to go absolutely nuts if the supreme court invalidates the OICs.
There are going to be a million Gunposts from people trying to sell off those now un-banned guns "Before the Libs ban them through Parliament", and the prices are going to be insane because regular online retailers won't have those models in stock for months to provide some kind of reasonable competition.

Oh, guns can get imported quick if needed... The reasons that's often not the case is Canada needed 18.6" barrels to be NR, which means special production runs. If AR's are back on the menu and restricted, we could get 16" ones very quickly.

u/dgod40 14h ago
I'm not sure what self abusive lunatic wants to go down the restricted lane anymore. The fact that ARs were restricted in the first place is absolute nonsense

u/SpectreBallistics Spectre Ballistics International (Verified) 14h ago
If we somehow against all odds win the supreme court case, ARs would be restricted.
Having run ARs in 3 gun matches, a 14" AR is way better than a 18.6" one. Worth going restricted in that case.

They weren't always restricted, check your history books. I'm old enough to have hunted Coyotes with an SP1, the original civilian Colt AR-15 model, introduced in 1964

Ruger Mini 14 ;)
But I bet the price for one once it crosses the border would be fucking ridiculous now
1
u/SirKickBan 14h ago
Interesting! I'd been told there was a 2-3 month delay on imports generally just due to the border, but I appreciate getting a more accurate picture from someone with experience.

Is that how we think its going to play out? Invalidated oic, followed by new legislation prohibiting the ones fresh out of oic jail?
I was almost thinking that if the OIC got invalidated, maybe the government would use that as an "out" of the mess they've made with this BS.
Sorta like saying them saying "well mom(court) said i couldnt ban these and she has more say than me"

I don't think that's how it's going to go, myself (I suspect they'll start having debates on what the correct way to proceed is, which will eventually lead to the formation of a committee, and they'll come back with policy recommendations in two to three years), but I think that a lot of canadian gun owners will think it's going to play that way, enough so that people will try and profit off of the paranoia.

u/TheBulletBuddy 14h ago
Yeah i understand your view for sure.
Im just hoping that the goverment who seems to be very slowly acknowledging that this program has failed, might use the court decision as a scape goat to just wash their hands of this.
Unfortunately hopeful thinking doesn't usually play out in reality these days.

It is expensive but also factor in a stock SKS goes for about $1000 these days which is also expensive

I think he forgot to use quotation marks instead of asterix's around the Super Rare.
I prefer my kodiak medium rare...

Shitty scope and mounts make me cringe. They aren't even trying to hide the bullshit.

u/starw24-ps4 15h ago
It was originally posted for $3500! The most I ever saw one sold for was 2000 and that was a lot

The levels of retardation from both the seller and buyer (if anyone does) are so astronomical that they should date because they would be the perfect match for one another

u/MrBoredgamer Have too many Double Barrels 7h ago
Had 1, sold it, its terrible.
Shakes itself loose as you shoot it affecting your zero.
Extremely heavy, 14.5 lbs of rifle more than most "battle" rifles
Ammo is no longer cheap
I had 1 of these with 5 mags, if it made its way to Quebec from BC its travelled the country being sold from fool to fool for increasing prices.
TLDR Lmao

This is just a SKS in a chassis

u/Borealbound 13h ago
Possibly one of the worst chassis at least so far as clunkiness goes.
Granted I have a bias having worked on modding SKS’s for the Pearce ILS back in the day.
