People are going to go absolutely nuts if the supreme court invalidates the OICs.

There are going to be a million Gunposts from people trying to sell off those now un-banned guns "Before the Libs ban them through Parliament", and the prices are going to be insane because regular online retailers won't have those models in stock for months to provide some kind of reasonable competition.

Oh, guns can get imported quick if needed... The reasons that's often not the case is Canada needed 18.6" barrels to be NR, which means special production runs. If AR's are back on the menu and restricted, we could get 16" ones very quickly.

I'm not sure what self abusive lunatic wants to go down the restricted lane anymore. The fact that ARs were restricted in the first place is absolute nonsense

If we somehow against all odds win the supreme court case, ARs would be restricted.

Having run ARs in 3 gun matches, a 14" AR is way better than a 18.6" one. Worth going restricted in that case.

They weren't always restricted, check your history books. I'm old enough to have hunted Coyotes with an SP1, the original civilian Colt AR-15 model, introduced in 1964

I know they weren't always restricted. That's the issue. The government slowly changed the rules until they came for the guns and the people with the restricted guns were on the bullseye list.

The governments of the day have been slowly banning guns since the 30's

Ruger Mini 14 ;)

But I bet the price for one once it crosses the border would be fucking ridiculous now

Interesting! I'd been told there was a 2-3 month delay on imports generally just due to the border, but I appreciate getting a more accurate picture from someone with experience.
