Can always count on poly to dance on peoples dead bodies before they’re even cold

173

u/Upbeat_Plane6490 Jun 25 '26

Also, he “only” killed one person. While still tragic, it points to the effectiveness of our laws. This wasn’t a mass shooting situation…

242

u/mischling2543 Jun 25 '26

Half the casualties were the result of police incompetence

61

u/Riddell4 Jun 25 '26

Nailed it brother.

56

u/Opening-Ad8300 Jun 25 '26

I almost threw my fucking phone at the wall when I saw her practically execute that guy who looked nothing like the individual she was supposed to be dealing with.

So tired of the RCMP’s improper handling of firearms.

34

u/executionerswife Jun 25 '26

No target acquisition, she just shot whatever moved. People were blaming him for being near her but it looked like he didn’t have much of an option

16

u/SpazSkope Jun 25 '26

Yeah, but then she ran away from the actual shooter and got shot in the back.

Too easy to be a cop nowadays, I don’t know about other provinces but it’s a fucking joke here in Quebec. Your average high schooler can fuck around for a summer and get mediocrely fit after graduation, join a fast track “intensive” program and be on the force in 2 years time. It’s easier than becoming a plumber ffs

9

u/grimwinter Jun 26 '26

You have to be an apprentice for 5 years… I wish cops had to train for fucking half that AT LEAST

8

u/JE1324 Jun 25 '26

I still haven't seen the video but everybody says it's pretty "WHAT THE FUCK"

Is it really that egregious an example of incompetence?

6

u/brandond111 Jun 26 '26

Yes, go watch it. She executed a scared civilian

3

u/willab204 29d ago

Not sure how many rounds the police in Montreal get per year. But near me there is a range the RCMP use once a year, it’s fun to go collect their brass and look at their targets… they shoot so bad it isn’t even funny, sometimes we just reuse their targets.

Good thing the government decided police weren’t responsible enough outside the uniform to train to be competent on their own time.

u/GodsGiftToWrenching Jun 25 '26

I was going to say it's a 1:1 ratio of people merced by the gunman to innocent people merced by officers in this altercation.

Also don't question why officers shot at a fire hall where civilians were taking shelter during the Nova Scotia event 6 years ago

u/DryPersonality7558 Jun 25 '26

really weird choice of word when discussing this subject

It was 2 kills for the police and 1 for the "Mass" Shooter

7

u/mischling2543 Jun 25 '26

I'm not counting the shooter as a casualty because it's a good thing he's gone

15

u/Dill_Pickle_Tears Jun 25 '26

Yeah…if anything this demonstrates an argument in keeping the SKS legal. Video depicts the shooter struggling with the stripper clips while reloading and died before he could continue shooting.

Good gun control has ALWAYS revolved around mitigation and prevention, but it’s never been about reducing deaths to zero. There will always be perps who TRY to commit crimes.

Poly’s logic is like selling your house because you couldn’t sanitize the 1% of the bacteria leftover after wiping your counters down with lysol

3

u/oversky_1437 Jun 25 '26

The shooter didnt appear to be trying to shoot anyone else except maybe the police. Think he switched to unalive by cop I dunno what that has to do with laws.

3

u/Upbeat_Plane6490 Jun 25 '26

Yeah and he was outgunned by some cops with pistols… what are you debating? When do we celebrate that our gun laws work?

4

u/oversky_1437 Jun 25 '26

He obviously wasn't "outgunned". You could say he was outnumbered? What gun law worked here? ... for the second time. Do you think an AR15 would've magically shot more times or his SKS had been loaded with rounds that seek humans out on there own? Those laws?

7

u/JE1324 Jun 25 '26

The AR would have looked scarier and he could have shaved like 1.2 seconds on ammo swap having a mag instead of strippers. Also scary.

4

u/brandond111 Jun 26 '26

Mags are nice, but God damn I do love strippers!

3

u/Upbeat_Plane6490 Jun 26 '26

No, the original assault weapons ban from the 70s worked.

2

u/wowwee99 29d ago

That's not even a tragedy.

7

u/Eisenbahn-de-order Jun 25 '26

is that not a great point of attack? call out their lack of empathy and psychopathic tendencies ie not expressing restraint in this sort of situation? If isreali zionist groups were celebrating Palestinian children causalities in western countries they'd be sidelined very soon

3

u/DYTREM Jun 25 '26

Yes, and with the help our tax dollars too thanks to the Libs.

253

u/sounoriginal13 Jun 25 '26

There's no loophole. It just hasn't been banned. That makes it sound like you have to Pat your head and rub your belly and get a rifle like fuck

164

u/Cre_AK47 Name Prohibited by OIC Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

To them, the fact that guns are legal is considered a "loophole". They most famously like to complain that compliance with the stupid laws that they help create is somehow also a "loophole".

105

u/mechant_papa Jun 25 '26

They missed the loophole that one person was killed by a police gun which is not covered by the Firearms Act.

22

u/Hopeful_Relation_441 Jun 25 '26

ban assault style police pistols

18

u/FB2K9 Jun 25 '26

Ban assault style police. Only unarmed bike cops allowed.

70

u/Remarkable_Vanilla34 Jun 25 '26

They are constantly pushing this false narrative that new SKS rifles are being designed and built

39

u/waitwhatnothing Jun 25 '26

That’s just intentional ignorance about firearms.

I think to them the SKS is a “loophole” because the government promised them that all “assault style weapons” would be banned and yet it’s still here.

26

u/Occifer-Lim-Jahey Jun 25 '26

Yeah if 5 people were killed with a pinned mag SKS they might have had somewhat of an argument, the same amount of damage in this incident could have been caused by a single shot break action rifle or shotgun.

21

u/HappyCan7250 Jun 25 '26

While I think this event is a tragedy no matter what, I honestly think he likely would have done far more damage if the attack was done with a vehicle, like the ramming attack in Vancouver a couple years back that killed 11 or 12 people. Vehicles are far more deadly in Canada than firearms are (not advocating for vehicle bans dont worry,  just making ghe point that we all know already!)

12

u/Remarkable_Vanilla34 Jun 25 '26

Even the amount of rounds fired in the incident doesn't make sense unless we factor in the the police mag dumping.

11

u/JE1324 Jun 25 '26

Or a knife. Or a hammer. Or a brick. Or a lamp. Or a paperweight.

Poly reaching hard on this one.

9

u/ADGx27 Jun 25 '26

The same amount of damage could be done by the doohickey 9000 that some NEET used to merk Shinzo Abe

3

u/JE1324 Jun 25 '26

Holy shit really? 😅😅😅

they use loophole because canadians pretend we dont like america but love to import their cultural zeitgeist and terminology. the word loophole gets thrown around a lot in american gun control talk and the anti-gun groups want to connect gun owners here to american ones as much as possible to try and make some kind of negative inference. so thats why they love using terminology from the american gun control debate here. they want terminally online people to make the subconscious connection in their head.

1

u/eekay233 Jun 26 '26

The loophole is that while the buyback is under way the SKS remains legal and therefore people use their 40 pieces of silver to buy an SKS.

153

u/Ritchie_Whyte_III Jun 25 '26

*Clutches Pearls*

Meanwhile 2000 people per year die in automotive accidents in Canada and 88,000 die from cancer.

It's not about making people's lives better, it's about irrational fear and making themselves the main character and being the "hero" because they don't have the skillset to cure cancer.

134

u/Zerfall2142 Jun 25 '26

Causes of deaths in canada:

1 cancer ~80,000

2 heart disease ~60,000

3 malpractice and medical mistakes ~28,000

4 dementia ~27,500

5 waiting for healthcare ~23,700

6 accidents ~23,400

7 stroke ~13,800

8 Lower Respiratory diseases ~13,000

9 Influenza & pneumonia ~7500

10 diabetes ~7000

Firearm deaths not counting suicide ~250-290 annually. Of these deaths only about 22-26 were legally owned firearms. ( Annual averages, rcmp data doesn't differentiate between murder and self defense. )

That makes doctors and the decaying health system responsible for 86,000% more deaths than a legally owned firearm. Just saying.

Stats don't matter. Legitimately, they do not matter.

What matters is how loud you are, and how much your opinions align with likelihood of the current politicians being re-elected.

1

u/epnk420 Jun 25 '26

Definitely

11

u/kookiemaster Jun 25 '26

Well, time to ban accident-style vehicles and diabetes-style candies I guess.

5

u/escv_69420 Jun 25 '26

It would be a lot cooler if my tax dollars went to #3 and #5 instead of Poly.

I actually asked my overworked, under paid, hardly funded local doctor if the cost of the gun grab would make a difference to the problems he experiences within the medical system and he said "yeah... a lot."

2

u/jjyss Jun 26 '26

BAN DEMENTIA!!!!!

7

u/scottsuplol Jun 25 '26

Let’s also realize that no civilians were killed. I’m not trying to undermine the death of the police officer or that fact what he did was wrong. But our gun laws in a way worked. Was killed while having to reload (5 round cap). Could have been a lot worse. There’s been killings of civilians since the shooting with illegal firearms

27

u/charje Jun 25 '26

The only civilian killed was shot by a cop

108

u/Relevant_Diver_3228 Jun 25 '26

They are just Making shit up with the sks loophole

49

u/Hotdog_Broth Jun 25 '26

Fun Facts with Nathalie: Following Canada’s laws exactly as written and intended is a loophole.

70

u/Birdybadass Jun 25 '26

Disgusting to use a tragedy to spring board your political agenda. Shameless ghouls.

65

u/DoYouGetSarcasm Jun 25 '26

Then it'll be the pump action loophole, then the lever loophole, and on and on.

38

u/BicycleMudStud Jun 25 '26

Didn't they already talk about the "high capacity shotgun loophole"

3

u/ablemount Jun 25 '26

The high capacity shotgun shells with "multiple" armour piercing bullets that are designed to shred flesh and rip limbs from human torsos! /s

3

u/ADGx27 Jun 25 '26

Someone showed them Warhammer 40k darktide gameplay as the arbitrator class lol (the arbitrator’s unique shotgun is legitimately cracked man it’s insane)

12

u/The-naked-Pipefitter Jun 25 '26

They're going to start calling them "repeating" firearms.

8

u/I-LOVE-HENRY-RIFLES Jun 25 '26

Semiautomatic style rapid fire guns

2

u/Traditional_Bank2200 Jun 25 '26

“It’s not a semi-auto, it’s a vibe-auto!” - LPC probably

15

u/Illustrious-Nail-360 Jun 25 '26

And then the double barrel loophole. Then the break action loophole. Finally we are left with flintlock rifles only. At last a safe utopia

13

u/mischling2543 Jun 25 '26

No no, those are weapons of war designed for the fields of Waterloo. Much too dangerous to be on Canadian streets

9

u/Barabarabbit Jun 25 '26

Don’t be silly, the Americans overthrew the British empire with flintlocks! They are a dangerous weapon of war that only soldiers should have access to!

2

u/Hopeful_Relation_441 Jun 25 '26

they dont keep criminals in jail how do they plan to keep 2.4 million in

6

u/Savings-Garbage-628 Jun 25 '26

They have literally said that any firearm able to hold more than five rounds is a loophole, despite that just being the law for manual action and rimfire.

2

u/Barabarabbit Jun 25 '26

Pointy stick loophole coming next

62

u/weneedafuture Jun 25 '26

So how does La Presse know he was a PAL holder? Wouldn't that information be released by the RCMP?

55

u/China_bot42069 Jun 25 '26

They don’t they are speculating based off that one reporter who’s spewing blasphemy

8

u/joe_canadian Seven Rifles and a Shotgun Jun 25 '26

That's the same newspaper that had a reporter contravene the Firearms Act without repercussion.

46

u/Canadian-AML-Guy Jun 25 '26

I mean let's be real here, he was from Alberta and used a non restricted, cheap and available firearm. Odds are he either had a pal or lived with someone that did.

Focusing on the PAL here is sorta missing the point. He likely would have killed more with a van or knife. The only reason he was spotted was because he had a gun. Odds are. The same outcome would have occurred if he had some kind of manual action.

13

u/weneedafuture Jun 25 '26

I mean let's be real here, he was from Alberta and used a non restricted, cheap and available firearm. Odds are he either had a pal or lived with someone that did.

I agree, but it's on the press to present factual information and conjecture and "odds" clearly as such.

Focusing on the PAL here is sorta missing the point.

There's plenty of points at play with an event as horrendous as this, but my particular focus here is journalistic integrity and how misinformation spreads. Poly is using a source that is playing the odds with a claim, I was simply wondering if it had been confirmed he was a PAL holder as that also leads to other points and avenues of discourse (how long did he have his PAL, was he appropriately vetted, etc.).

3

u/Canadian-AML-Guy Jun 25 '26

Completely agree.

13

u/Ov3rReadKn1ght0wl Jun 25 '26

The fact that they are knee jerking immediately to La Presse shows some serious desperation. They are literally grasping at anything at this stage in the face of the unpopular bullshit they pushed.

23

u/burntlandboi Jun 25 '26

Fuck. Right. Off.

39

u/Rickles84 Jun 25 '26

Given what they cost now I feel like new sales won’t be a concern.

18

u/heavydutydan Jun 25 '26

39

u/ThePoeticJester Jun 25 '26

Grave dancers.

34

u/Azuvector bc Jun 25 '26

what the hell is a sks loophole?

"It's not banned therefore it's a loophole." is Poly's logic.

24

u/Glistening_rat_vulva Jun 25 '26

I’m so sick of these assholes jacking off on peoples graves before they’re even filled.

25

u/swift_gilford Jun 25 '26

And what the hell is a sks loophole

technically, none.

But what they're probably referring to is mainly due to notion that it has been cleared from every ban largely due to the fact that a large quantity of these were a) given to and b) in possession of indigenous groups. They'd have to make an exemption for them and that will go over terribly.

26

u/Feeling-Water-6824 Jun 25 '26

Classic Poly. No information has been released from Police or RCMP. We do not officially know what rifle was used. If the person held a PAL valid or expired, illegal, borrowed, stolen or legal.

I find it amazing that the solution to unstable individuals who cause incidents like this is to ban a particular type of firearm. Yet, not to address the root cause.

Are those in power truly that naive that banning a particular type of firearm or even all firearms would have prevented this? Unstable people will remain unstable. They don't miraculously become law biding if they can't get a firearm. In this day and age, you can make one, print one, smuggle one. And if that doesnt work, make IED's.

Sick of this shit.

34

u/WeightedDips95 Jun 25 '26

Disgusting people. Love how they glaze the police and skirt right past the fact the only civilian casualty seems to have been from the police themselves. Anything to push their narrative.

Just goes to show they aren’t actually “anti-gun”, just anti-gun for a certain segment of society, let’s just use the term tax paying as a proxy so I don’t get banned.. they love guns when wielded by the state and criminals.

20

u/Shmeeking1 Jun 25 '26

Politicizing tragedy. Typical.

9

u/compound515 Jun 25 '26

"This attack could not happen without access to a powerful firearm". Why not?!? The guy release a manifesto, had he not had a firearm I'd imagine he could have rented a car or brought a knife.

7

u/mischling2543 Jun 25 '26

The Oklahoma City bombing is a great example of how wackos can be even more deadly without guns

5

u/I-LOVE-HENRY-RIFLES Jun 25 '26

Vancouver suv ramming and the Toronto van ramming.

2

u/ADGx27 Jun 25 '26

Honestly yeah, I’d rather have a gun-toting lunatic who’s so incompetent with his firearm the only civilian casualty comes from the cops boneheadedly doming someone instead of a lunatic with an IED

33

u/madbuilder Jun 25 '26

Conveniently omitting that one of the two dead was killed by a policewoman with a handgun.

12

u/Appropriate_Tart9535 Jun 25 '26

And the fact the shooter was an incel who hated women with an entire manifesto, you'd think that the same people who experienced the same hate 30 years ago would use their critical thinking skills to see this isnt a gun issue, but an incel issue.

15

u/kwizzle qb Jun 25 '26

Disgusting how they manipulate people with their rhetoric.

4

u/scotheath Jun 25 '26

The weak are easily manipulated

16

u/Top_Importance6216 Jun 25 '26

lmao how predictable. she couldnt wait a week to dance in the grave

7

u/GinnAdvent Jun 25 '26

The atk could have also happen with other class of firearms such as bolt action, lever action, shotgun and other action type of firearms. The suspect could have also used knifes, explosive devices, vehicles, chemical agents so on and so forth since he travel over 3500km just to get there.

I don't see you calling out banning of SUVs and rental vans when the attack happen in Toronto and Vancouver.

Stop gas lighting the public, and address the issues that the current government keep on ignore.

And if you want to ban more firearms, might as well prohibit the police from carrying their service pistols since those tend to kill innocent people too from time to time.

13

u/NEUMANN-METALWORKS Neumann Metalworks Jun 25 '26

I should name my upcoming SKS chassis the SKS Loophole

Just to fuck with em

2

u/epnk420 Jun 25 '26

Do it lol

13

u/Vana_Tomas Jun 25 '26

They have agenda driven maybe by Libs to look like it is not guv pushing for such. Interesting part is that SKS wasn;t banned and then Supreme court rulings and freeze until actual ruling and Poly were extremely upset with that as well as Libs that they had to postpone involuntary gun confiscation and how pathetic that this nfortunate event happens where? right and without checking all facts and all, Poly and rest scavengers started with this cryings, shame on them. Poly like I said definitely has agenda and keeps covering with 80's shootings, this is pathetic and unhuman thing to do

6

u/Putrid-Macaroon Jun 25 '26

"Professionalism prevent even greater loss of life" Sorry, but i watched that cop pop the civilian in the face in a panick.

11

u/infiniti711 Jun 25 '26

This is about narrative control - let's talk about the gun instead of the social issues that led the guy to commit this crime. They don't want to have that conversation. They label him an incel to dismiss any legitimate concern - a word that shuts down any conversation of male suppression in society. Why can't we talk about that? Why is weakening men seen as a social good? Its not good.

22

u/TheeDirtyToast Jun 25 '26

We ever look into closing Carney's tax loopholes?

Canada could sure use that $5 billion he helped Brookfield avoid paying through the Bermuda bike shop.

12

u/mischling2543 Jun 25 '26

And the $3 billion he just used to bail out Vancouver condo developers so they wouldn't have to lower their housing prices

5

What's the loop hole?
You can by something that is legal. How is this a loop hole?

5

u/ADGx27 Jun 25 '26

As many are saying here, the gun being legal at all is viewed as a loophole by poly

5

u/DougMacRay617 Jun 25 '26

Im pretty sure more gun owners give them attention then their actual base.

4

u/Medical_Bluejay_7506 Jun 25 '26

We are their actual base

3

u/DougMacRay617 Jun 25 '26

Literally

3

u/Medical_Bluejay_7506 Jun 25 '26

Every comment is just calling them out or hate lol

5

u/Fuck_you_all22 Jun 25 '26

How about fix the potholes in my neighborhood before fixing the imaginary loophole ?

5

u/PrestigiousStatus711 Jun 25 '26

Their goal is to end all firearm ownership. It is clear they want every single firearm banned. Do not give in. Keep your property. Hold the line

12

u/gamercast1337 Jun 25 '26

We should be banning police from having guns considering they killed a civilian, more than the shooter actually did.

5

u/stjeana Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

The 2020 Quebec halloween sword attack did more casualities

7

u/Trick-Goat-3643 Jun 25 '26

I would be willing to bet the officer who panicked and shot an old man was not a PAL holder, perhaps mandatory PAL training for police would be a good place to start systemic firearms changes

8

u/stjeana Jun 25 '26

my PAL did not trained me on target acquisition, only on not pointing the barrel at my face

2

u/gamercast1337 Jun 25 '26

Okay but true though, terrible target understanding. I thought they trained police and military to properly identify targets, let alone us PAL holders???

This the type of shooting to get your ass facing a military tribunal 8 years later when it gets leaked to reporters lmao, and I doubt she will face anything.

9

u/lee--carvallo Jun 25 '26

God these people are insufferable

9

u/Otherwise_Rub_9515 Jun 25 '26

Are they calling for additional police training after a bystander was executed by the female cop?

If he used a van, which has happened multiple times in Canada's history what would they be calling for?

17

u/boozefiend3000 Jun 25 '26

I’m so happy I live in this progressive paradise

5

u/elmo444555 Jun 25 '26

Poly should be asking for gun control for the Police.

4

u/Cock_ball_dickin Jun 25 '26

I actually fucking can’t with this people. Genuinely disgusting, if I were one of the families I’d sue. Poly is a bunch of mentally ill fuckheads who insist their delusions become public policy and our fuckheaded government hates us enough to allow it. How much more can we put up with this, seriously.

Like this will probably lead to an SKS ban, what the fuck. What the actual fuck

4

u/plasticproducts Jun 25 '26

Equally relevant to this tragedy is what weapon that police officer was using.

4

u/kinghalifax902 Jun 25 '26

They would say that about any gun used..

9

u/mechant_papa Jun 25 '26

The gun was limited to 5 cartridges, as is legally required, ostensibly to reduce the possible number of mass casualty events. So in other words, the legislation worked exactly as the gun control advocates had planned.

7

u/itsyaboi6909 Jun 25 '26

3

u/Dependent_Border7961 Jun 25 '26

Do we know for sure if he had a PAL? I have yet to see any news report that said anything about the suspect having a PAL.

3

u/ABT653 Jun 25 '26

Imagine making a tragedy that happened almost 40 years ago your entire personality...yikes

3

u/JAmToas_t Jun 25 '26

He didn't target civilians, as evidenced in the videos. He ran right by that old man and wasn't the one that shot the other older man.

The 5 round limit appeared to be very effective as the shooter struggled to reload his rifle at least twice. In fact it's what allowed the police to finally take him down.

The damage he did could have been done with any firearm - nothing specific about the SKS allowed him to perpetrate violence any more efficiently than any other firearm. In fact, the SKS and it's clunky loading procedure seemed to work against him.

3

u/jkozuch Jun 25 '26

I look forward to exploiting this “loophole” once I’ve received my PAL.

(I’m growing tired of these simple-minded fools and their nonsense.)

It's not a loophole if it's not banned. They must be dead set on pretending they don't understand how the gun laws they lobbied for work.

Unfortunately, I foresee another Oka getting engineered in our future that will be used for an SKS ban before any shooting like the one here.

2

u/fedplast Jun 25 '26

I mean, we should ban Glucks from police too! The civilian tragedy could have been avoided if the police officer did not have her handgun /s

2

u/Barabarabbit Jun 25 '26

Not shocked to see this bullshit reaction.

Probably nothing good coming out of this, expect that the SKS is going to be banned sadly.

Maybe with an exception for FN folks

3

u/Dependent_Border7961 Jun 25 '26

I doubt that the SKS is gonna get banned. We've been in this situation before many times, and the SKS has remained non restricted. I can't see into the future, but I don't see why this shooting would be any different than the last shooting involving the SKS.

2

u/Barabarabbit Jun 25 '26

I hope so. Just with Poly literally in the cabinet now I am expecting the worst

1

u/IcySkyDream Jun 26 '26

God forbid they actually have to follow the democratic process.

2

u/Vahuo89 Jun 25 '26

And there it is.

Right on queue.

The bodies aren't even cold.

2

u/Dill_Pickle_Tears Jun 25 '26

It really irks me that the media has been glossing over the bystander killed by the police. Almost lumping that death in with the casualties caused by the shooter. Very disingenuous

I mean I’m telling on myself a bit, but I’m very progressively minded. Disclaimer: I didn’t vote LPC.

I’m a staunch advocate of evidence-based policy and consultation with subject matter experts, which is a big reason why I’m very against C-21 and strict gun control overall (with a few caveats). I’m also a strong advocate for media literacy for the exact reasons you’re suggesting. Propaganda is incredibly insidious and prevalent in today’s media (not just the news but social media as well) and our own critical thinking is constantly under attack thanks to the internet.

What frustrates me about nearly all media and many (most) politicians in parliament is that they often DONT consult experts and tend to overreach without regard to the real impact of whatever legislation they’re passing.

Many of the people in my circle are also left leaning and also very against the buyback and bans.

2

u/CanadAR15 Jun 25 '26

They’ll never stop.

But if we all stopped commenting and quote tweeting their stuff they’d get far less algorithmic traction.

2

u/Bergen_is_here Jun 25 '26

The cops got a higher kill count than the shooter btw

2

u/PositiveHot1421 Jun 25 '26

I hunted with a sks this year and missed 2 deer. Still getting chirped in my group chat about it

2

u/Gonky69 Jun 26 '26

Can we all just stand up already.

2

u/peed_on_ur_poptart Jun 26 '26

Im sorry that these people were affected by a horrible crime. But holy shit that was 37 years ago, I absolutely understand that trauma is something that's different for everyone to experience and recover from but shit.

2

u/Goliad1990 Jun 26 '26

It never ends with these people

“It’s obviously a very powerful weapon if it can shoot through walls at police and kill them,” Rathjen said.

It will never end with these people because they don't want you to be able to own a gun that can kill someone.

I don't know whether this is a matter of unbelievable ignorance - as if they think that we're out there killing moose with Red Ryder bb guns- or if it's deliberate manipulation. But here we have someone who's been playing the gun control game for nearly 40 years, complaining to the media that people should not be able to own a gun that can pen a wall. They're literally saying it flat-out: they won't be happy until the only "firearm" you can own is one that you can safely shoot indoors.

u/_axeman_ Jun 25 '26

Surprised it took them this long tbh

u/Melodic-Street-8898 Jun 25 '26

Screw the liberals

1

u/AFireinthebelly Jun 25 '26

They’re idiots. That’s why.

1

u/JohnnyGrinder Jun 25 '26

Don’t worry most can’t afford an SKS anymore lol

1

u/JurboVolvo Jun 25 '26

Should Incels be able to own firearms?

What is the alternative to a "simple" firearms license? Is there a complex version? I mean I guess it is a military-style weapon ... 1950s military style maybe?

1

u/GinnAdvent Jun 25 '26

Last time I checked you need a PAL to obtain a firearm legally, but I don't think you need any license to buy a knife or an axe.

There have been mass stabbing atks in Canada in the last decade, so perhaps we should close the loop hole on knife as well, and only let police, chefs, and butcher handling them?

1

u/Whispersfine Jun 25 '26

Although, if you look at their statement. I think they finally come to the conclusion that nobody is gonna handover their property and the government just can’t possibly pay for the confiscation.

Carney also said the case between government and CCFR will decide what the government can do with firearm laws.

It leads to my assumption about the possible off ramp for everyone in this clown show.

A. Liberal use their majority to push a major bill reform to ban all the guns that terrifies a certain group of people. This could potentially cost them the election and it still does not solve the hardest part, collecting from us.

B. A big one time grandfathering is the best off ramp for everyone in my opinion.

No new sales on semis. No confiscation. No 2 million new criminals. Leave this issue for someone else in 10 20 years.

Economy is in the shithole. Affordability is a fucking disaster. Gun control is just so low on the ballot question list.

u/Candid-Tomato2971 Jun 25 '26

$2000/ rifle incoming

1

u/zporb Jun 25 '26

Further proves that banning "assault-style weapons" makes little to no impact.

CRIMINALS, will always find a way. Legal or not

Too bad that idiot didn't use a fleshlight attached to a Hitachi Magic Wand. Love to see PS go after that.

1

u/TheSaSQuatCh Jun 26 '26

Fuck Poly. Fuck Nathalie Provost. Fuck Marx Carnage.

1

u/jiggy7272 Jun 26 '26

Sorry poly but tell us what a 'simple firearms license' is?

1

u/Drasselll 29d ago

Oh it will. The more they do outbursts like these, the better it is for us.

2

u/Medical_Bluejay_7506 29d ago

I’ve seen 3 more meltdowns since I’ve posted this lol

1

u/Legitimate_Basket962 28d ago

At a certain point you gotta understand that compromising with these people isn’t gonna get you anywhere. They’ll just take and take until everything is banned and gun ownership becomes illegal all together. That’s their idea of “reasonable.”

1

u/Alone-Demand-9386 27d ago

The problem isn’t the SKS, the PORNHUB corporation ~ he shot up!! The SKS was just a tool!! If it was unavailable he could have used a bolt action or shotgun or cross bow!!

1

u/fartsNdoom 27d ago

Almost as though the shooting was set up by the people who want to ban guns.
