I am curious what the standard expectation is when selling an item on GP to a buyer in another part of Canada. E-transfer is the default where a buyer is trusted, and I know that the GP rating/reputation mechanism provides some assurance - but I am curious if that is the normal expectation for a distance transaction or if some people use Paypal (and if so, if āgoods and servicesā is the normal expectation or if folks use āfriends and familyā). Thanks

Happy Canada Day.
Canada does have a history of producing small arms, well before the WK180.
Whatās your favourite Canadian made rifle? How many Canadian made rifles are in your collection?
Iāll throw out the obvious choice, the Long Branch No. 4 MK I Lee Enfield. Iām hoping to pick up on of these this summer.

I'm itching for an SKS and would adore owning an original, unbastardized example. But the looks and tinkering options of these aftermarket builds got me intrigued.
They're priced the same as any other SKS usually, but I've heard bad things about the quality of some of them. Are these prices fair and a good option for a first time SKS owner? Or should I stay traditional?

But I'm being told possessing such a scan might be illegal in Canada and I did not know that as I'm not from there. I joined the sub because you guys always seem to have interesting firearms posted.
I will post pictures of one that is legal in my country (for now). I hope you enjoy the aesthetics anyway. It is a .22lr bolt action with a 20" Keystone arms match bull barrel and an AR15 Fire control group.

Right now I am between these two rifles
CVA cascade sr 80 308
Ruger American scout gen 2 308
I like the scout rifle concept for its lightweight design and shorter barrel for use in the back country, also as an alternative ābattle rifleā considering we canāt get AR 10s anymore.
Biggest factor leaning me to the Ruger now is the full length rail, non proprietary mag, and shorter barrel

Recently started attending bullseye/sport pistol practices at the gun club. I also plan to compete in sanctioned SFC matches as well. This is the gun that I've chosen to borrow from the club in the meantime. It's a Ruger Mark II Target. The gun belongs to the club but I will stick to using this exact model every time so I can build familiarity with it.
Hopefully by the end of the year I will have accumulated enough practice sessions and matches to get an exemption letter so I can buy my own "Olympic" style handgun.
I know the state of firearm laws in Canada are trash at the moment but I will continue to enjoy the sport/hobby any way I can.

Has anyone had experience with RITON scopes? Looking at getting a 1 Primal 4-16 (unsure if I want to spend the extra on a 3primal) for the gen2 ruger American 5.56 Iāve been waiting on (sent to warranty upon arrival) since February.
My other scopes are sig sauer tango 4 on a semi, vortex on the 308 or a 3ā9 luepold I had to shim to get zerod on a bolt 22lr.

Hey folks, Iām looking to get my Glock slide milled for an optic.
However, the only place Iām aware of is black box customs and they require you have your slides cerakoted if they do any milling. I have zero interest in paying an extra $170 for a service and finish I donāt want.
Is anyone aware of any other companies that do CNC work?

Over the last year or so I have tried unsuccessfully to get in touch with the individuals who deal with the Calibre Magazine subscriptions. I have randomly only received 2 issues over 2 years and keep getting charged for the subscription. has anyone else been having issues or is it just me? Does anyone have a phone number to get a hold of someone?
I`ve sent half a dozen emails to the provided addresses on their website and facebook page and have gotten 0 responses.
Can anyone help me with this?

Hey folks,
Iām new to firearms and thinking about getting a used lever-action .22 as my first rifle. I like the classic style, the ammo is affordable, and it seems like a good way to learn the basics.
For someone buying their first gun, is a used lever-action .22 a good idea?
What models should I be looking at?
What should I check before buying used?
Any red flags with older .22 lever guns?
I want something reliable, safe, and fun to learn on. Not trying to overcomplicate it.
Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, very well considering picking up the mk 15 when it comes out but donāt have much experience in the LPVO field and looking for recommendations. Not looking to totally break the bank so maybe around $500ish or so and Iād mostly be shooting out to 100 yards or less with it, thanks!

Well seeing everyone else post their Henry supremes, I had to join in with my own. As you can see it's got all the fun space cowboy furniture from ranger point. (Stock plus the pewview handguard)
Still debating if the magnifier is worth it, I might swap to an lvpo for a little bit more magnification but we'll see. (Eotech exps + g33, stolen from a different safe queen).
I'm specifically excited to see how the 14.5 inch version with the shield works barrel plays out (might also swap the flash hider).
Range results soon, I've got plenty of old ammo to try (PMC bronze my beloved plinking option).
