Buy recommendations Riton rifle scopes
Has anyone had experience with RITON scopes? Looking at getting a 1 Primal 4-16 (unsure if I want to spend the extra on a 3primal) for the gen2 ruger American 5.56 I’ve been waiting on (sent to warranty upon arrival) since February.
My other scopes are sig sauer tango 4 on a semi, vortex on the 308 or a 3–9 luepold I had to shim to get zerod on a bolt 22lr.

I have a 6-24x50 conquer x1 ffp and a 6-24x50 conquer x1 sfp and have never had a issue and are very clear at max zoom. Both i picked up for around 300 bucks each. Great budget scopes.

I have a tactic 1-8 and it’s great honestly. Dropped it tons. Zero reset turrets, lightweight and bright too

I would not recommend RITON legitimately buy anything else, the warranty is basically nonexistent in canada and the company basically told me to get stuffed when I tried to warranty their trash faulty product.

I hate being in a position where I want gear, but cannot afford it. So, I just take that much more time to save $$$ and get quality gear, once.

That’s the proper thing to do, but when you have a new rifle arriving and want to go make some noise, waiting even longer makes that really difficult. I have a spare 1-6power bushnel that will work for now. I appreciate your approach on this topic, helps me cope. Cheers

The lower end entry level ones are not great and comparable with their similarly priced competition.
Their higher end ones that are Japan made are quite decent though. X7 series I believe.
X5 isn’t Japanese made but they’re quite good for the money as well

I have the Primal 3 4-16x44, I actually love it. I've had it on several 223 bolt guns and I love it. The Primal 1 is a 25mm tube, the Primal 3 is a 30mm tube. Prices are around the same too so I'd go for the Primal 3 if you can find it for the same price.
Turrets are pretty good, I haven't tried it on anything over 223 but I think it would hold up fine.
Glass is quite good surprisingly. I have a few scopes around the $250 range and the Riton is my favorite in all honesty. Clarity at max zoom is great for the price.
My closest comparison, of the scopes i own, would be my Bushnell 6-18x50 model, which is around $300, and i actually preferred the Riton, as the Riton has better clarity at max zoom and side focus vs adjustable objective.
I believe Riton allegedly offers lifetime warranty but I know sometimes that doesn't always apply in canada for some companies.
Id say take the chance, I love mine. Other option would be a Crossfire HD in 4-12 or 6-18 but I also think you would be very happy with the Riton. It seriously has become my favourite "cheap" scope.
Only drawback is that it is a bit heavy, so on a light rifle like the ruger you will notice it, but they seem quite well made. The 25mm tube (Primal 1) may also be a bit lighter than the Primal 3 (30mm tube). I had mine on a RAR in 5.56, an MVP Patrol in 5.56, and it is now on my Savage 110 Hog Hunter in 223. Worked great on all of them. The side focus works very well

Riton is eh.. for the price just go athlon, discovery or vector. I know it seems like Chinese shilling but they're good for a reason. Out 3 id just go for a Athlon of your choice

We had nothing but poor luck with the Riton's we stocked at first, and so stopped stocking them. But i have customers who also like them. That being said be aware if you have an issue the warranty is a bit of a pain to use. (at least it was when we were stocking them too)
The new redesigned ones are supposedly better, but we'd landed the Vortex account by then, and both brands are fairly similar price point wise. (I did find the new ones to be a bit yellow when i was looking at them at the last big rock dealer show, before big rock went out of business, as well, but that could have been because we were in an event hall)
