Fix my gun 3d Scan of a Ruger Precision Bolt Needed

But I'm being told possessing such a scan might be illegal in Canada and I did not know that as I'm not from there. I joined the sub because you guys always seem to have interesting firearms posted.

I will post pictures of one that is legal in my country (for now). I hope you enjoy the aesthetics anyway. It is a .22lr bolt action with a 20" Keystone arms match bull barrel and an AR15 Fire control group.

If you're in Canada, 3d printing a gun is a crime (unless you have a manufacturing license), same with possession of computer data that can be used with a 3d printer to manufacture a firearm. The computer data crime is extremely vague.

I did state that it's "all done legally here", so no, I'm not in Canada. If there is any vaguery about a surface scan of a part, then I truly apologize and will delete the post.

You guys always seem to have interesting stuff on this sub, I thought I would ask.

Isn't it just the reciever that you cant print? Why is this sub so squirmish in the mentioning of 3d printing.

Correct, I’ve asked the rcmp firearms technical division and have quite a few emails about this. As long as you don’t produce the lower receiver (which is the part that is legally the firearm) or the barrel, you are alright to produce everything else including the bolt and upper receiver.

Just to dispell any confusion. Everything I print is legal to do so in my country and in my state (for now). We are allowed to manufacture firearms for ones own use. I cannot give them away, sell them, transfer them. They must also contain enough metal to be detected. Pretty sure the 20" stainless steel bull barrel covers that. As do the slides and barrels of anything else I have printed. The term " ghost gun" is meant to sound scary so it's easier to pass legislation against it. Just like the term "assault rifle" as the other poster said. Any regulated item such as short barreled rifles or suppressors I have made, have ATF Form 1's submitted and approved.

I am not a felon, I am not committing crimes.

Just wanted to make that clear.

That blue and purple is insane. I'm new here but why can't we have these materials on more than just this one gun?

I have no idea if you're allowed to print butt stocks or grips or bipods. Please check your laws, but these are the filaments I used with color. The black is all PA6-CF from Sunlu
