Feets / Collection / My build It's space cowboy season

Well seeing everyone else post their Henry supremes, I had to join in with my own. As you can see it's got all the fun space cowboy furniture from ranger point. (Stock plus the pewview handguard)

Still debating if the magnifier is worth it, I might swap to an lvpo for a little bit more magnification but we'll see. (Eotech exps + g33, stolen from a different safe queen).

I'm specifically excited to see how the 14.5 inch version with the shield works barrel plays out (might also swap the flash hider).

Range results soon, I've got plenty of old ammo to try (PMC bronze my beloved plinking option).

Atta be. Looks great with the magnifier.
Did you manage the barrel swap yourself?
Thinking of ordering the 12.5” srw barrel and nut from RDSC to DIY..

No I had the good folks at rdsc do all the heavy lifting.

I'm confident swapping out barrels for my rem700 stuff and my 22lr rifles but it was just convenient to get it sorted there.

Looking at it though it doesn't seem like the worst removal if you're handy and have a vice plus the correct tools on hand.

Did you buy the rifle complete?

I'm assuming you did.

They just got the 10" barrel one back in stock.

I'm so tempted to buy one but I put money on the Carmel and the mk-15.

Next year I'll pick one up.

They seem like a good deal at 3200 for the complete rifle.

Just need to find a way to get it to take 20 round magazine from the BCL MRX

Yessir.

They both look great tbh

The ranger point furniture alone is already pretty much worth it imo. It's a very sturdy feeling rifle.

I've told they run the lar15 mags without issue but I don't think the bcl stuff will fit without some work

Is the container off to the side this? I've had one in my cart for awhile. The plan was to keep it in my rucksack to fill with ammo for backcountry camping, but if it's the same one, it looks a bit big for that. I was thinking it would be roughly the size of a glasses case, but square.

That's the one, I use it as my day to day carry for my glasses. Decent build quality, locks up nice and tight.

I use savior bags (also on Amazon) for my ammo when I'm not using the good ol plamo can.

Was just looking, and noticed there's a large and a standard size. Standard would suit my needs just fine. It's 3"x3"x8". Could probably just about fit a full carton of blazer in there, which would last plenty of trips.. I'm gonna look up the Savior bags though. I might want to get something I can attach to my pack with molle. Idk.

I use the savior bags for my pistol calibre stuff. They're very stretchy and depending what you buy they have molle support.

Now to be clear, they aren't water proof so that might be a consideration depending on what your doing. I'm not sure if the Magpul one is water resistant rated either to be clear.

If I had to keep ammo 100 percent dry I'd consider one of those mini pelicans if space isn't tight (I've used one for electronics and fire starting gear in the field).

I have friends who swear by banded gear as the best camping/backwoods stuff but I haven't bought any for myself.

Yeah but a baseline supreme is already a decent chunk, once you throw on a new stock, handguard and barrel it adds up quick.

I converted my Henry big boy x a while ago and it was also pretty pricey once you break it down.

Unfortunately you gotta pay for the fun stuff.

No I only received the rifle and the extra screws/spacers/stock removal tool.

I might try to get my hands on the woox stock to add a bit of wood back into the mix but that's a later plan.

Central air is cranked up high because it's hot as balls out there and I'm trapped writing up reports for work.

That and I haven't hit that level of power yet.

The day we see the OICs undone I'll let em loose in celebration.

How is this 3rd party barrel? Wondering if you still have any warranty after changing the barrel?

1

u/Lumindan Jun 30 '26

Fit and finish look great.

Accuracy TBD once I get some range time in and do some groups.

I'm a simple man. I see space cowboy, I upvote.
