The issue is that someone sees this pic, thinks itâs cool to finger the trigger guard, doesnât have the smarts like you to only do it when the gun is not loaded and then a tragedy happens. Doesnât matter. Itâs a habit thatâll transfer that one time the gun is loaded, then boom. I do firearms testing for hunting and that would be points deducted.
Itâs not even nitpicking itâs a basic rule of ACT. There are literally instructions on the bottom of the exam sheet to deduct points every time the finger is on the trigger. I would be very wary to shoot around you.

I dont put my finger in the trigger guard either... I shoot 3 gun so im we'll versed on the matter. OP simply posted "My brother the firearm is loaded" and im simply pointing out that technically it may not be as the CH is locked back. You can have your opinion and I can have mine. And based on my opinion, I wouldnât shoot with you. Everyone knows you do not put your finger on the trigger regardless if a firearm is loaded or not. Not allowed to shoot fruit at my range because some dude that was allergic to hornets almost died checking targets when he got stung.. someone had shot a bunch of fruit and that brought them along. Had an EpiPen in his truck, but that doesn't do much good when he's down range.. he was lucky.
Never thought about that. Never have that problem out at my buddyâs private range. He has a 10â berm at the end of a field where we camp. We usually shoot at 100yards but can step out to 400yards if we want. Lots of coyotes too. Too bad he got the fox that was into his chickens before I could get out, I want a fox hat!!!!
