Doesn’t matter. It’s a habit that’ll transfer that one time the gun is loaded, then boom. I do firearms testing for hunting and that would be points deducted.

Sure, but if we're nitpicking.... technically the gun aint necessarily "loaded".

It’s literally the first thing they teach you during the PAL course
A: assume every firearm is loaded
C: control the muzzle direction
T: finger off the trigger
S: see that the firearm is unloaded by PROVEing it

P: point the firearm in the safest possible direction
R: remove all amunition from the firearm starting with the magazine, then the chamber
O: observe the feed path
V: verify the chamber is empty
E: examine the bore for obstructions
