Context:

Following this DYPA12 for a while, anticipating for when it came out. I was in the starbies drive through when I got the email notification. Purchased right away.

Took 3 days to get here.

Pros:
Small
Sights are decent.
Very good knock off glock mags.
Accuracy not bad.

The bad.

Mag springs super tight. ( will get better with age )
My buttock tube came loose.
Odd to pump a 9mm, ( I was over pumping it thinking it was a 12g )

Today as a follow-up to Assault Rifles of the Cold War years and up to the turn of the Century, I offer up a selection of the major designs that came to market during the GWOT. Some of these designs have certainly fared better than others, but part of that is failed marketing as much as it is bad design philosophy and/or execution. It is worth noting the rise of the short-stroke piston rifle/carbine operating system during this period, led by the HK 416, but also including the ACR, APC223, MCX and Bren 2. Hi fellas!

This is my original Italian Valtro PM-5 box magazine fed 12 gauge pump shotgun.

It was initially produced by Valtro in the 80s, and Brixia continued production after Valtro went down.

The magazine takes 7 shells, and are quite expensive to source.

It was used by various police and military units, and French Navy is still keeping them in service.

Overall, I love the pistol grip and fixed stock, and the fact that it is a reliable mag-fed shotgun. The 14” barrel makes it quite maneuverable and gives it a cool look. Some people do not like the length of pull though, which I don’t mind.

Note: Trigger lock was temporarily removed for pictures; it is on it at all times.

I made a grip that holds glock mags, a bigger cocking knob and a stock that holds the barrel and nut when transporting it. Does anyone have any other ideas? I’m thinking a fore-grip will be next.

Having so much fun with this rifle. It’s so light and so much fun to shoot.

My fightlite Mission Configurable Rifle has sat idle for 6 years now, and counting. Notwithstanding the rifle's appearance here fitted with a "belt" of plastic dummy rounds with rubber links, it is legally fired using 5 round magazines or 5 round mini-belts and is semi-automatic only. It is merely another semi-automatic AR15 variant with a unique (and quitefascinating) dual-feed system. No need to get overly excited, there Poly.....

Happy May long! Just finished up another custom build that I’m excited to share. A unique new mag fed 22 lever from Morisson. Finished in a distressed burnt bronze paired with custom scroll design & copper accents!

Perfect timing on my birthday as well, it’s beautiful!

Got my rail mounted, cheap lpvo on. Taking it up north to some crown land ranges next month to put it through its paces for real. Very happy with this thing. Naming it Lorraine.
