Feets / Collection / My build Henry supreme
Got my rail mounted, cheap lpvo on. Taking it up north to some crown land ranges next month to put it through its paces for real. Very happy with this thing. Naming it Lorraine.

Didn't know it was possible to attach both rings on the same side of the knobs on a scope. It doesn't mess it up with the recoil?

This thing has negligible recoil. It's only 5.56. I doubt this scope will last very long anyways, it's a cheapo Amazon scope. It's actually still mounted too far back for correct eye relief, but I can't go any further forwards so it's good enough until I can buy a real optic! Lol

You can try a one piece scope mount and put it forward more

My main goal was trying to keep the optic low and close to the bore, I don't want to add a cheek riser if I don't have to. Although it kinda seems like I should anyways

I don't think I have ever seen a scope mount set up like that. Was the eye relief to long for a comfortable sight picture with a traditional arrangement?

Should see my RS22M setup, I have to mount a cantilever sight "backwards" to get the LPVO close enough to my eye haha

Yes correct. I will be purchasing a proper optic at some point, I just had this cheap Amazon scope laying around and figured id try it out. It's actually still too far back, seems like a very long eye relief optic.

Normal eye relief is around 3.5" so I wonder if that scope was designed for use in Scout rifle configuration. Anyway, nice gun and congratulations! What distance were you testing at to get those tight groups?
1
u/Deizelpunk 25d ago
It's very possible! I do love scout rifles. Only 25 yards. If I took more time I'm sure I could have put all 5 rounds thru the same hole. More interested in how the groups look over 200m. Will post an update next week

I love Henry rifles, so I hope this one meets all your expectations. Looking forward to hearing how it shoots.

Only 25 yards and that's a 5 round group. If I took more time I'm sure I could put all 5 thru the same hole.

Why not 100?
2
u/Deizelpunk 25d ago
Because I don't have access to a longer range without driving 7 hours to crown land.

Head over to Amherstburg Target Sports for 100 yards.

these are good guns i love mine and it is a tack driver putting rrp furniture on them also makes them look better imo
