I purchased a T3X Ace Target in .223 2 months ago. The gun store doesn’t know when it will actually arrive, and said that they aren’t given any ETA information. Do all tikkas get made and shipped from Finland, or are there third parties besides the gun store involved. I want to reach out to somebody to have some kind of eta.

This was my father’s rifle and the first gun I ever saw in real life, didn’t even know he still had the thing until he showed up with it after I told him my PAL had finally been approved. Last time Dad showed it to me was when I was a kid, gave me a talk about how it wasn’t a toy and the only time you point one of these at another human being is if they threaten your life and you don’t have a chance of getting away from them safely. She’s dusty as fuck and the rear iron sights and magazine have been lost over the years but appears to be in decent shape otherwise. I’m going to take it to a gunsmith to get an id and make sure it’s safe to use as it hasn’t been fired in many years. Next I’ll strip it down and clean her up, pick up a magazine or two and try to find a rear sight replacement for the irons as well. All I know about it for sure is that it’s chambered in 22 magnum, I believe it’s an Anschutz but I’m not 100%. Any help identifying the make/model or any other useful info would be greatly appreciated, cheers boys!

I was out test fireing a gun in what I believe to be 44xl, for those who don't know it is a 44-40 that has a shot shell cap on it like say a 357 rat shot. This is a martini style action and the gun folds in half for storage very neat little piece of kit for rabbit or grouse hunting.

With some polymer furniture the Homesteader doesn't actually look all that bad. All parts available in bio.

Following up the Cold War Battle Rifles, we have the Assault Rifles which were mostly developed as Western Forces adopted the intermediate 5.56mm cartridge in the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Of course, the Russians and their Soviet partners employed and further developed the venerable AK47 series throughout the entirety of the Cold War, starting out with their 7.62x33 intermediate cartridge and later transitioning to the lighter 5.45mm round. In chronological order they are:
- Russian State Arsenals AK-47 Type 2 (1951-1957)
- Russian State Arsenals AKMS (1957-1974)
- USAF Colt Model 601 clone (1962-1965)
- USAF Colt GAU-5/S "Son Tay Raider" carbine clone (1966-1995)
- Harrington & Richardson / Heckler & Koch T223 / HK33 rifle (1964-1966 / 1968-2001)
- Israeli Military Industries Galil Assault Rifle and Machinegun (ARM) (1972-2000)
- Fabrique Nationale Carbine (FNC) (1979-1999)
- Colt Canada C8 carbine (1986-2006)
- SIG 550 / Swissarms "Classic Green" (1990-present)
- Heckler & Koch G36E (1996-Present)

Unfortunately, I did not have a very good experience with this one. As a friend said, it was the most "Turkish experience" so far.

Found a deal on an RS 912 + 250 rounds for about $650 CAD + tax.
Not sure if it’s a “ha” or “nah” situation.
It’s a Turkish brand, and I’ve seen mixed reviews, but the price is honestly pretty tempting. I was originally looking at something used/surplus around the $800 range, so this being brand new for less feels like a good deal.
I know it’s not a premium “B gun” level, but I’m only planning to shoot clays on weekends, so I’m wondering if it would still hold up for maybe 2–3 years.
Resale gonna be hard tho for sure..
Curious what people think, grabbing it, or better to skip and keep saving?

And why did they have one round of .22 and a round that might be .223 😂

Sick rifle ive been putting together for a while now.
Action is a KS Arms LA3RL
Barrel is a KS Arms 21" #4 Fluted.
Brake is a KS Arms 3 Port.
Trigger is a Bix'n Andy Dakota
Scope is a Zeiss Conquest V4 4-16x44 with Zbi 68 Reticle
Scope Rings are Area 419 Hunt Rings
Bottom Metal is MDT Hunter
Mag is a MDT 3 Rounder
And Lastly the Stock is a Manners LRH with the Mini Chassis.
Im still very much on the fence on if I like or hate the camo. For some reason the person who painted the stock at manners decided to do this chicken foot pattern thats very far from what was shown in their example photo of this pattern, They've offered to make me a new one but dealing with shipping this back to the USA and eating 3x shipping charges is brutal. Plus they dont ship directly to Canada so id have to work around that again.

Well, I grew up on the prairies. Guns were a tool, but I was always fascinated by my dad's Marlin .32 Winchester Special, Savage 99c .243, antique shotgun, and .22s (Cooey, Savage, etc).
I freed up a lot of time for shooting a few years ago, and got my PAL. Told my spouse that I " just want a .22 and a 12 gauge".
Fast forward to today and I'm 5 calibres and 5 digits deep, with 5 actions in this hobby. And I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. 😁
So here's the question: how many of you had a similar experience? And how many are happily shooting 2 calibres and loving this sport/hobby?
Get out and shoot safe this weekend.

Got my pal issued just over 30 days after submission, and the second that letter hit my desk I went to Tenda. For a mere $300, my ass got a pretty cool plinker right out of high school. Came with the muzzle attachment at the end, 2 10/22 mags, and everything to attach. Slapped my old airsoft red dot on the top and got a lil case of ammo, and I’m dying to hit the range. Note: Yes I’m broke asf that’s why I got this over the $600 Tm-22, yes I know this isn’t gonna be a generational or long term gun, yes I know it’s a Turk, but let me have my fun. I got to finally own a pretty decent rifle that I can call mine, until I get my bread up to buy a Makasi and SKS :)

Here are some more (mostly)12(X) photos, based on the largely positive response from the other day. This batch are the classic "Battle Rifles", developed during the 1950s and 60s for the Cold War era. Many continue to soldier on in remote battlefields worldwide to the present day. In chronological order they are:
- Russian SKS (1953-?)
- Metric FN FAL (1954-Present)
- Standard FN C1A1 (1956-1986)
- SIG Sturmgewehr 57 (1957-1990)
- USGI M14 (1957-1964)
- AI AR10 Sudanese variant (1958-1985)
- HK G3A3 (1959-1996)
- Beretta BM-59 (1959-1997)
- AI AR10 Portuguese variant (1960-1976)

Hey all!
Hopefully this ain’t breaking the rules, but we’ve dropped a small selection of HMB barrelled actions factory seconds on the website (under the barrelled action on the header).
This is for fathers day, so get your dad something he won’t forget, quantities are limited, so be quick!

There ya have it folks, if the LPC win this court battle, it’s scorched earth, war with every citizen who owns a restricted and police raids.

Or maybe you have - idfk. But during the buying process it was incredibly hard to find any information regarding this chassis outside of the manufacturers website and a small handful of youtube videos, which still left me with a lot of questions. Posting it here in case anyone else is interested in doing a similar build.
Are you in the market for a tacticool .22LR that isnt turkish made? Or perhaps you are wanting to deck out your 10/22 and want options beyond a plastic promag chassis, midwest, or spectre? (not trying to diss the SBI stocks, they are absolutely gorgeous but weren’t quite what i was looking for) Then look no further!
The build;
Jäger PMC chassis in FDE
12.5” Acculite barrel
Magpul MOE fixed carbine stock
Magpul MOE-K2 grip
SBI 10/22 rem 597 adaptor
Amazon Feyachi RSL-18 Reflex sight
OAL 28.25”
Overall extremely pleased with the way this build turned out. The chassis is made of aluminum and is super sturdy & well built. The Magpul MOE k2 grip was the wrong choice, and as you can probably see in the picture, I had to cut it down a little bit (I will be replacing in the future). Originally went with the fixed stock due to worries about my OAL, and with the lack of measurements available online I didnt want to chance it. Knowing what I know now, ill most likely be replacing the buttstock down the road.

My fightlite Mission Configurable Rifle has sat idle for 6 years now, and counting. Notwithstanding the rifle's appearance here fitted with a "belt" of plastic dummy rounds with rubber links, it is legally fired using 5 round magazines or 5 round mini-belts and is semi-automatic only. It is merely another semi-automatic AR15 variant with a unique (and quitefascinating) dual-feed system. No need to get overly excited, there Poly.....

Now to find the time to get out and test it out.
