Found a deal on an RS 912 + 250 rounds for about $650 CAD + tax.
Not sure if it’s a “ha” or “nah” situation.

It’s a Turkish brand, and I’ve seen mixed reviews, but the price is honestly pretty tempting. I was originally looking at something used/surplus around the $800 range, so this being brand new for less feels like a good deal.

I know it’s not a premium “B gun” level, but I’m only planning to shoot clays on weekends, so I’m wondering if it would still hold up for maybe 2–3 years.

Resale gonna be hard tho for sure..
Curious what people think, grabbing it, or better to skip and keep saving?

its a Turkish shotgun.

it might be good for 2-3 years or it might be a lemon right out of the box. honestly no way of telling with their general QC.

It not being a semi auto is definitly a plus in my books.

In that price range probably better to buy a pump, supernova, 870, 590, etc and not have to roll the dice with function

I made the mistake of buying Turkish once. It's been sent for warranty work twice and this time it's been there (SFRC) 2.5 years and still not fixed.

Do yourself a favour and get a Mossberg or Benelli.

Usually I dont hear any complaints about Turkish break action guns. Except ergonomics and weight.

However pump action and especially semi auto turkish guns are shit. I've seen people swear by canuck yet I've seen so many of their pumps have problems with light strikes on primers and the action jamming up.

Bats888 has a review about it on YouTube. I bought the Silver 30". Build quality is not bad, the Walnut wood stock is gorgeous. I haven't time to shoot it for now, but i usually shoot around 250 rounds per year so should last a long time.
