Misc New target

Just finished up my new duelling tree.
8 6” paddles.
Now to find the time to get out and test it out.

You might catch some spawl off the bracket connecting to the legs. Otherwise, looks awesome.

Yeah it’s got a little spring to it. Might change them up after trying it out.

It's the bolt heads and lip that will cause issues and possibly send spawl where you don't want it. Generally most steel will use round headed bolts and avoid anything that can deflect stuff back up range.

How much would something like this cost to make? Can these be made with a wood beam and replaced? I’m trying to make fun targets to shoot instead of the old pizza box with a target stapled to it for my private land range sessions

Build it yourself probably less than $100, custom made probably $500ish.

If you're using smaller calibers where regular steel is fine it'll be dirt cheap (to make, steel is cheap, labour costs not so much). But intermediate cartridges will tear up steel, then you'll be replacing the stand a lot plus your actual paddles will need to be ar500

If I made these to sell it would be $500-$700.
I made a Texas star too, that one is fun to shoot at.

I got a duelling tree from cabelas before they apparently stopped selling it. The paddles get smaller the higher they are on the tree and it’s fun and challenging. I only wish I had bought more than one of them.

I got one of those duelling trees also but wanted something for bigger than a .22

This guy fabricates nice work man! I’ve been wanting to build one as I’m a red seal metal fabricator but don’t have a place to do it
