I'm considering getting one (I'm looking at the 612 with a 12" barrel) but I'm seeing mixed reviews everywhere. Not mixed in the sense they're mixed across the board, some websites they're rated extremely well and some are rated poorly. It makes me think either certain retailers mess with their item ratings, or their quality is truly all over the place.

Does anyone have one or know anyone who has one? What's your experience with them? $300 for something that always goes bang when you want it to would be a dream.

As the title suggests I’m looking for a backpack size takedown for bear Defense, I work as a bush pilot and the 12ga keeps getting in the way when working.

Anyone else pick up one of these switch-mode clones of the Benelli M3 Super 90, 12 ga shotgun on discontinued clearance? They are now priced $300 under the past retail price, selling on clearance (with lifetime warranty) from Tactical Imports for just $599 CAD.

I am really quite impressed thus far. By all accounts, the semi-auto mode has proven to be reliable with High Velocity bulk 1 Oz slug rounds as well as 00 Buckshot loads and even 5/8 Oz Birdshot rounds. For less lethal rounds and the like simply switch to Pump-Action Mode with a flick of the spring-loaded collar for manual operation.

I replaced my conventional fixed Buttstock for a Black Diamond brand M4 style telescoping length Buttstock with an adjustable Length of Pull. Much better fit! I also added an extended Bolt Release Lever and Charging Handle along with the factory-optional Picatin̈ny Top Rail. Last but certainly not least was a Mossberg 500 Bayonet Mount from Canadian Safety Source in NS, which clamped on perfectly to the Turknelli Magazine Tube....

This is a LOT of Shotgun for $600. A LOT of Shotgun. I highly recommend it at the current price point. Heck, buy two of them and keep one as a spare.....

What do you guys think? Best choice for a semi-auto 5.56/.223?

Let me start by saying I'm very new to the world of "modular" rifles. I didn't have my PAL before the bans and all I've got are some WW2 wooden rifles. However, I'm very excited by the possibility of a more modern 556.

That said, I think the buttstock on the makasi looks really ugly, and I'm not the biggest fan of a lot of the options I've seen in my admittedly limited research. I'd love to put a more FAL type wooden stock on the gun, but I'm not seeing anything like that online.

Does anyone know how one might go about getting that kind of furniture on the rifle? Or any kind of stuff which might let the rifle lean more asthetically in the direction of the FAL? Like I said, I'm not at all versed in the world of modifying my guns. Cheers!

I don’t know how I stumbled upon these but I did. It seems sketchy I’m not sure it’s a good idea but it could solve an issue I’m having with my 10” Ege Levar12s.
So out of my 18” barrel 12 guage using a rifled choke tube I have great accuracy with repurposed target loads with hand made Lee 7/8 slugs but when I toss them in my 10.5 Ege with the same rifled choke it’s all over the map.
My best guess is with the shorter barrel it’s not getting a good enough burn and the blast is sending the slug tumbling? I’m not a ballistics expert. It goes in it goes boom it comes out. What ever else happens in between or after it’s beyond me. So this leads to my 2 questions has anyone tried one? And from what I can tell Lockhart tactical is a legitimate company I can trust?

My PAL/RPAL arrived last week - YAY!!!

Was thinking about picking up a used LR 22 bolt action rifle to get started...and save my $ for a shotgun and higher power rifle.

What are the good sites that I can search locally? Don't want to deal with mailed guns. Would want to drive to location, have a look at, etc.

Has anyone purchased a Hunter gun vault recently, looking at the GS-2420? Seem like a quality option and made in Canada but their Facebook hasn't been updated in 6 years and the last post I could find on here in from 9 years ago. The only website that isn't the manufacture looks out of date 2021 and has russian script in the contact form. Wondering if they're still making these safes at all before trying to get a quote out of them for shipping.

Looking for some opinions as I contemplate a second rifle or shotgun! Currently I only own a 1301 Tactical…. Uses are mainly range/targets and sporting clays.

-590a1 class III (14”): I figure i might as well get the king of pumps, tried, tested, and indestructible. The 14” model is quite hard to find but I see them available currently at a couple retailers.

-Intersurplus shotgun for clays: I’ve been eyeing the Baikal O/U but I have no experience on the durability of these. Ideally I want something that will last me a while and can be fixed if needed.

-SKS. I’ve been wanting a French tickler but all that seems available now are the normal Chinese or the Russian models

-10/22 or TM22… I know I need a .22 but they are just less exciting overall to me compared to the above models

I am in the market for a TM22, and IRG sells it for 199 USD (271 CAD), which is much cheaper than the 399 CAD MSRP that other vendors sell it for. But IRG seems to more be an import business, and it is unclear if they keep any items in stock in Canada, or if every item is ordered and shipped from the States once purchased, causing a large lead time. I would love to save some money, but I don't want to wait for 2 months for my gun to arrive. Thanks for the answers!

I’ve had my ruger for a while but I’m a little disappointed with the current scope on it. I’m looking for recommendations for a replacement, I’m leaning more towards an lpvo, specifically the vortex venom 1-6x24. What other recommendations do you all have? My budget is around $600, I could probably go a bit more if there’s something good.

I'm having a hell of a time on google. My Remington 700 came with some nice iron sights that I don't want to go to waste, but I also have a nice 30mm scope I want to put on it. Could someone point me the right direction?

I was considering a-tactical, sr-45, rp coach, tr410micro, sr410, from tacticalimports. Any other smaller shotguns that you would recommend?

What are some reliable options for a lever in the $1000 range. Doesn't have to be tactical. I'm fine with traditional looks, or synthetic. I just want something reliable. I know $1000 isn't a lot when it comes to a lever action, so I'm not expecting a long list, or anything fancy. Suggestions?

Rifle neophyte here. More of a shotgun man myself. Wanting to diversify my collection.

Looking for a medium to long range bolt action rifle with an underbarrel picatinny rail. Budget is around $1,000.00. Give or take.

Favoring anything as powerful, or more powerful, than .308 Win. Any rifle suggestions welcome.

As the title says, what are your opinions on buying one vs just a regular one as the prices for the SKS-D's are crazy.

I recently picked up a Chinese unissued SKS and now I’m thinking about getting one more firearm. I can’t decide if I should grab another SKS and throw it into an aftermarket stock, or just go with a TM22.

I won't be going to the range much, probably only a couple times a year, so it’s not like this will see a ton of shooting. I also don’t have space (or really the need) for a bigger collection, so this would be my last one for a while.

Price-wise, the TM22 Feather is the cheapest, the Pro is somewhere in the middle, and a second SKS with mods would easily end up over $1000.

If TM22 then which one? the feather, 16inch or 18in pro model?

What would you do in my situation?

I’m looking for my first longish range hunting rifle. I want something of good quality to last a long time, maybe around the 2k range.

I won’t be doing crazy intense mountain hunts but I don’t want to limit myself, I really want to start learning long range shooting and spend some good time plinking. Probably looking at .308 caliber.

I was looking at some Sako, like the s90 but my friend is convinced I should get a Bergara but I read some reviews of how it’s hard to get moa and find the right ammo that is accurate.

Plastic trigger guards work well enough... but the upgraded trigger group on an 870 Police Magnum, 870 Wingmaster, or 590A1 are what will survive real abuse.
