Buy recommendations Micro shotgun recommendations
Looking for my first FA.
What is the best micro/small/light shotgun?
I was considering a-tactical, sr-45, rp coach, tr410micro, sr410, from tacticalimports. Any other smaller shotguns that you would recommend?

590a1 14 inch is probably the ultimate tiny shotgun. I wouldn’t say it’s the lightest but definitely lighter than the 20 inch variant

I like my sulun arms sxs couch gun, it has 9 inch barrels with an overall length 26 inches. They are especially great with the chiappa 12 gauge inserts set, makes for a great survival/range toy.

I was thinking how great it would be with inserts! Add 2 rifled 8 inch inserts and you got like a 2 shot handgun. Or just add one and you got a cool combination gun

Right! I’ve done it both ways, it’s such a blast. I also think these chiappa inserts are way better than the little inserts you can get on eBay, as they don’t lose as much accuracy.

I have the sr410. It has Chokes so you can actually be decent with birdshot. I love it. Wood stock cowboy vibe. You pay more if you want the rifled barrel, but for me, since I wanted both birdshot and slugs to be decent, I just went smooth bore. With prices like 700 bucks it's certainly the most affordable. So you gotta decide. Do you want to mostly shoot handgun rounds? Get the 45. Do you want to shoot birdshot and blast clays and are OK spending more on 410 slugs? Get the cheaper one.
I'd certainly consider the micro tr410 though. You get no Chokes, instead you get a super super small almost handgun like gun. I think that's awesome. Of yours your short barrel makes it worse at things, but for sheer uniqueness, nothing is like it.
The triple coach looks cool, and honestly, 3 rounds of 12 ga is more than enough for anything. It's just expensive and a bit heavy. The 2 barrel versions look great, especially with 12 ga chamber adapters. I'd definitely consider one of those. Add 2 rifled adaptors and you got a mini 2 shot pistol.
So your big decisions are, do you want a 410 or 12 ga. 410 will give you more shots, but also you gotta deal with the revolver and the cylinder gap.
12 ga will be more powerful and cheaper, however it will have less shots before reloading, and much more recoil, but will have readily available inserts.
To recommend more, what are you looking for out if this gun??? Then I can give more advice

Thanks for all the details! All I’m looking for is something that resembles a hand gun which are illegal now. Mostly for target practice, no hunting. Want to able to fire it with one hand only which why I was considering.410 most likely

Definitely try a micro then!!! The shortness and the barrel length and the grip are going to be golden for you!
The 10 inch barrel versions aren't bad, the buffer tube stock should act like a counterweight. The traditional stock SR410 is more awkward to shoot one handed due to the traditional stock, so likely skip that one. I like it, but yeah... not a one hander.
Also, you can buy some smoothbore 410 to 9mm adaptors for close range cheap shooting if you want. Accuracy will be bad due to no rifling of course but it could be fun and cheap

.410 ammo is more expensive than 12 gauge, but shooting a 12 gauge one handed isn't easy or practical. I tried it once with a 16 gauge and tore open my hand. You could always get a Heritage Roughrider. 22lr, very easy to shoot with one hand and you can get .22magnum cylinders for a little more bang. I really like my Levar12 with a 10 inch barrel. Tons of fun and a 20 round drum.

There are some tricks to make that better.
Longer length of pull for one keeps your face further away.
Blast guard on the left side focuses gas off the the right and away from your face.
Red dot or Fold up sights keep your face further back, and also higher up than aiming down the barrel with a bead sight or a notch and post.
Add all those things together and they are very decent to shoot. Some gas but much better

KSG tactical if you have the money, otherwise go with Mossberg 590 shockwave with opsol mini clip adapter.

Sulun 211 with mini shells. So you can shoot it with one hand.
There is a video of the guy on YT shooting mini shells and regular shells. The regular literally fly out of his hand which I assume hit his face.

Depends, does it need to be .410? The ss211 from tactical imports is pretty great, as is the s-tactical (black synthetic over under they have on offer)
