Does anyone what happened to Derya TM22s in the style like the ones in picture 1? I haven't been on here or looked around at gun stores in about a year. Last year I remember looking at them, was thinking of getting one but never did. Now the only ones I can find are the ones in the 2nd-4th pictures. I personally don't like the one that doesn't have the guard (rail? not actually sure what the proper name is) all the way down the barrel, or the feather. The last picture says it is a Derya TM22 Flash? Does anyone know what is different with that one than the originals in the first photo? Are the ones in the first photo still on the market and I just can't find them?
If any has some info on this, it would be appreciated.

Found a Tikka T3X Arctic stock at an absolute STEAL of a deal at my local bricks n mortar. Only went in for some .22 ammo for the range tomorrow and ended up doing a new build on the 308 🤣

Phase 1 of the pilot produced no problems, so we're moving onto the next phase! Have fun!

Took my Remington 700 chambered 308 out to 475 yards today. While it was a two person effort I managed to get a great video of it through the scope! Turns out a 10 oz trigger makes form pretty irrelevant!

I’ve been planning this purchase for years. This is an earlier model factory 26 production SKS, unissued and caked in cosmoline. Same factory that made French ticklers, but these were produced in a manner closer to the original Russian manufacturing methods. Still has the chrome-lined barrel, but instead of being pinned like the ticklers it’s a threaded barrel, the hand-guard is wood instead of Bakelite, and instead of the spike bayonet it has a blade. Also a higher percentage of the parts are machined the original Russian way. Very excited to play around with this.

Hey all,
I see all the posts about the exempted handguns and was wondering if anyone knew about the process specific to Alberta? I know BC is easy to do but how does one go about east of the Rockies?
Thanks :)

So, a total stranger literally gave me this rifle in 2018 in a gun shop parking lot. I gave it to someone I won't name, and I'm guessing he might be passed by now, considering his age. He completely butchered the thing, even though I just wanted him to check it over since I was new to shooting and rifles. Then, a fabulous person named Annie Dubuc had to completely rebuild the back end of the stock from scratch because someone tried to take off the butt stock before the fore stock, which cracked the fore stock because there's a screw plate there.
Also, the original person I sent it to completely drilled out the original nose cap, so I have a random rifle nose cap on there that isn't original to the rifle, unfortunately. But this is the first time I've actually tried to group it properly.
There is a mythical thing about free floating Lee Enfields, dear lord Bloke on Ranch has beaten that to death and I dont wanna say more. Barrel is too light of a profile and its very whippy. SMLE/No.1 has a wild bedding system to depend out barrel harmonics and whip.
I don't do blade and leaf style sights; normally, I'm handling a 1943 Long Branch No.4 for Lee Enfield.
So frankly it normally just sits in my gun cabinet with me oiling stock every so often because I also realize its barrel condition is such that its extremely rare exception to surplus Lee Enfields within Canada.
I just didnt realize it had the potential of grouping till yesterday fully and the windage was actually zeroed when I tested it at 25yrds.
Its probably going to sit for a while just out of cost reasons for .30cal: granted handloads and seeing what it can do would interest me. But thats something long time away.

Hey guys, I've got me a nice hunting rifle and a good shotgun, a Tikka t3x, and a mossberg 590, looking to get into semi autos and just looking for recommendations from anybody who's shot the specific models and what they would recommend? I fired the SKS and the Citadel, was wondering about the akdas and Henry homesteader, any advice would be nice

The other day I came across a steal of a deal on a Poly USA marked SKS that's been pretty bubba'd so I had a thought. If I can find a set of Russian wood, I can make sort of a "sino/soviet" SKS which will be the basis for a build that'll include parts from a bunch of different countries of origin. Pretty much an unholy combination of a yugo barrel, a Chinese receiver, Russian furniture, and whatever other parts I can find. Sounds kind of neat right?
Well here's the part I'm stuck on... As expected a Russian stock isn't exactly a one-to-one fit. Manufacturing tolerances from communist countries strikes again. Before I get into the meat and potatoes of this build, I should ask if anybody's come across a similar issue, where they shaved, how much, and if I can do this with no experience or if it's better for me to take it to someone who can.

Second Gun, Second Day, Mauser 1911 Just Arrived! Never fired a gun in my life yet so can't comment much except that It's heavier than I thought, all metal, 5 inch barrel, and even the magazines are all metal. Doesn't look like there's any rail for a light or slide cut for a red dot. It's made by GSG in Germany so the same one as the Sig Sauer 1911-22 variants. Not much else to say other than always wanted a classic 1911 that is cost effective to shoot and light on recoil. I think it's ironic that all GSG 22LR rifles have been prohibited but all 1911 GSG pistol variants are ok.

Hi. I am going on a hunting trip from prince rupert to skidegate on bc ferries.
Is there a need to declare my firearms as "dangerous goods" when buying my ticket?
This seems like such a hassle and heard from people that they don't even care/check.
Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Anyone received their compensation after dropping off assault style firearm from the latest round? How long did it take?

Picked this Henry Homesteader up on sale the other weekend. And now that the heat wave is gone, the plan is to hit the pits this weekend and let it rip.
Took the green dot off the derya and threw it on here for some 100 yard shenanigans.
Looking forward to trying out a few different packs of ammo. Got some different grain pmc rounds and some federal and blazer.

Super excited that my first exempted pistol has finally arrived after ordering it beginning of June.
Shoutout to BCTSA, IRUNGUNS, and funny enough, the Federal Firearms office in Miramichi NB, for helping make the process as seamless as can be (in our current firearms climate).
Feel free to ask any questions on the process and I’ll do my best to reply/DM. :)
Edit: everyone that’s requested a DM, I will absolutely get to all of you later tonight or tomorrow! :)
