Because as much as I love modern rifles and laser cut MOLLE, the 1940’s - 60’s outdoors/adventurer drip is the most aesthetically pleasing.

Oh I get and I agree, I just found it funny because it’s almost the same shirt and hat, we “protect” researchers in the forest who are almost always kids from big cities who have no idea how to be safe around guns or in the bush. Sometimes they complain that we need to be there or that we are armed but we had two people mauled a few years ago. We used to send them out with just bear spray, but times have changed.

Agreed on the drip. The No5 off a bench leaves a bit to be desired with the OG buttstock though.

The old recoil pad is “character building” to say the least lol.

What rifle should he have?

We have tikka T3x arctics in .308, and now with a plastic stock. It’s mostly for bear defence but I’ve never needed more than a warning shot.

The mount itself is rock solid, no issues there!
Happy to torture test it if someone wants to donate 1000 rounds of .303 lol

Jungle Carbines aren’t sub moa rifles by any means, but with this set up I feel more confident that I could take an ethical shot between 100-150 yards on a moose this fall.
