(Remove if not aloud)

Here's my birthday present to myself. The MD Gunworks Mlock Furniture Kit for my Chiappa Little Badger. Haven't fired it with the new set up but I will soon. I plan on accessorizing the crap out of it. Scope, bipod, grip, flashlight etc.

If that lever was shorter, you could probably get a faster fire rate.

Maybe the same idea should be implemented for a 5.56 platform.

Shooting Rentals?

Is there anywhere that you fine folks know of where I can go to a range and rent a gun and shoot some shit for an hour or so in the province of New Brunswick? I don't have my licenses for various reasons (not that I'm legally barred from possessing a firearm for clarity) but I am a fan of firearms.

I have a buddy who owns guns but he lives away for work and rarely has time to shoot when he is home.

Application / Regulation advice Moving from Quebec to Ottawa(What do I need to consider?)

Hey Y’all,

Hope you are having a great day and a wonderful summer!

I am moving from Quebec to Ottawa, and I wanted to know what I needed to consider regarding my firearms. I have non restricted PAL so only NR firearms.
Anyone here live or have lived in Ottawa ? Is it allowed to shoot/practice on the Crown land (with a .22)? If not what are the local clubs that are great?

I updated my address online already, and I noticed the PAL doesn’t have an address written, so I guess I will not be receiving a new PAL card.

Cheers!

Shooting Shooting ranges for tourists

Hi everyone!

Hope i'm allowed to ask this here.

I'm from the Netherlands and, together with a few friends, I'm planning to travel to Canada in October. We'll be staying in the Toronto/Mississauga area.

We've got plenty of activities planned, but one thing that's on our bucket list is to try shooting real firearms at a shooting range. That's something that's generally not possible in the Netherlands.

I've heard that it's relatively easy to do this in the United States, but I'm curious about the laws and regulations in Canada.

Is it possible for tourists to visit a shooting range and shoot firearms in Canada?

If so, I'd really appreciate any recommendations or good experiences with shooting ranges in or around the Toronto/Mississauga area.

Thanks in advance!

A few pieces of incorrect info; article sorta implies you can still get handguns with an rpal, or at least if you were uninformed I could see how it reads that way.

Some interesting stats on the growth of applicants and increase in women interested nonetheless.

Application / Regulation advice Olympic exemption

I got my exemption and purchased a pistol on may 18th, the first week of June the CFO had the papers and a week later I got the reference number. It’s now been over a month, with one follow up call and they said ‘it’s still on their desk and hasn’t been reviewed’

I own a couple other registered pistols from pre-ban times

How long have others waited for this process to be finalized?

UPDATE: received transfer notice this morning !
4 days short of two months after purchase

Gun and gear reviews Adler RF224 Read before buying

.

I’ll start off saying I’ve read tons of reviews and it’s about a 70/30 split of bad luck to good luck with them. My own experience was a bad one at the start, lots of failures to feed and failures to eject are suuuuuuper common with this gun out of the box. I’ve put over 1300 rounds through mine now and I’ve run into lots of issues for sure but overall it could be worse.

Fixes I’ve done. first step is to disassemble the internals and grab some scotch brite pads, I’ve found there is a lot of paint on the bolt especially on parts that rub and slide together so using scotch brite down to clean bare metal and oiling makes it slide much smother. Ammo is a big factor and I’ve tested lots and it’s honestly all realistically the same, but best results come from 38-40 grain. When firing I’ve also found pulling it in tight and keeping a good grip helps the recoil and the bolt cycling, being a 22 if you hold it too loose it won’t have enough power to fully cycle the bolt and pull the old shell out and eject it causing a jam. Then the newest and best option i found to prevent the failure to eject and chambering issues is to buy a compensator or some type of muzzle device. The changing in the gas flow and slowing it down a bit helps get more gas to cycle the bolt back fully and eject the rounds.

Anyway this is my first ever post and im not quite sure how to do this but i hope its helpful to some. Biggest take away is that its a 500$ gun but its a lot of fun and a great option. Doing this it has gone from 30 issues in the first 100 shots to 2 issues in the last 100. And those purely from rapid fire testing.

Apparently Go Tenda is opening a Calgary store! Yay and boo. Yay for a new store and boo for my wallet! If the job add location on Indeed is right, it'll be right beside Princess Auto south.

Looking forward to checking it out.

Buy recommendations Semi auto shotgun for clays?

I’m currently using a Benelli Nova 3 for casual clay shooting and it’s been a blast so far. Now that I’ve been doing it for a bit I’m looking at upgrading to something a little faster, as trying to hit multiple clays in the air isn’t the easiest with a pump action. Anyone have any recommendations for a good semi auto that’s under $2000? Around $1500 would be ideal. I have no intentions of hunting with it, only busting clays.

Application / Regulation advice License Renewal cost not making sense

Hey, so my PAL expired. I had to complete another paper application because it was expired more than 6 months. I just didnt think I'd ever go hunting again, but then things changed.

I have my restricted and non restricted. However, I don't have any guns. I normally just used my dad's.

I sent in the application and I wanted to do both restricted and non restricted just to keep them both, in case one day it's legal to buy a handgun.

I was charged 93.84, which is the restricted fee. And that's all that I was charged. The non restricted is like 70$, I was expecting to pay like 120$

I figured both should be charged but that's not the case.

I'm concerned that I'm only getting my restricted..

Or does having restricted exceed the non restricted and therefore I only need to pay the bigger fee which covers both licenses??

Thoughts? I've tried calling but can't get through right now.
