There are no firearms in this photo. They are all run of the mill Can Tire pellet/bb guns.

u/Inevitable-Prize-403 Jul 15 '26

Really? I noticed right away that one of them was clearly a pellet gun. I used to have a similar one to the one at the bottom.

u/Smooth_Project2781 Jul 15 '26

The one at the top looks close to an ISSC MK22 22lr semi auto which I believe is either banned or prohibited now. Its butchered but it looks like thats what it is from what im seeing. The rest however look like pellet/bb guns.

u/snakeleather45 Jul 15 '26

It looks like one but its not. Note the lack of ejection port, among other details.

Those are what our government calls "Crime Guns"
They are toy guns that inflate the gun crime statistics for domestically sourced "firearms"

45

u/PlanetGuardian-42 Jul 15 '26

Have they actually used "firearms" like these in those stats?

Shameful, if so.

u/Trick-Goat-3643 Jul 15 '26

RCMP Definition: The RCMP defines a "crime gun" as any firearm used or suspected to have been used in a criminal offence, those with obliterated or altered serial numbers, guns not reported lost or stolen, and replicas, toys, 3D-printed guns, or air guns used in offences.

"Used in offenses" also includes things like this where they were seized during an investigation

43

u/PlanetGuardian-42 Jul 15 '26

Well, that's ridiculous.

29

u/noveltyisthe Jul 15 '26

It’s falsely representing the facts.

20

u/jiggy7272 Jul 15 '26

To top that the injury from firearms stats include airsoft, paintball and pellet/bb... kids out playing in a field paintballing and lil Johnny sob gets hurt, his mom takes him to the hospital for say a fall. Boom another tick for firearms related injury stats.

I’ve actually been charged for having a pellet gun in my house when it got raided. They called it a “replica firearm” even though it was clearly not real, nor was there any reason to believe that was its intended purpose. Not sure if the picture I attached is the exact same one but close enough. Luckily my charges were dropped.

u/AssignmentPutrid3197 Jul 15 '26

Was someone in your house dealing drugs?

8

u/Inevitable-Prize-403 Jul 15 '26

No, but I believe the next door neighbours were and I think they had the wrong address on the warrant although I was never shown one.

1

u/Lobsterstarfish Jul 16 '26

Damn! They searched my apartment and found 3 real firearms that were illegal and I didn’t get charged or nothing! I ended up getting them back when I pal came in

u/Not-a-Cranky-Panda Jul 15 '26

You think that's bad the UK police have been known more than once to show photos of knifes they have taken off of the streets and had spoons mixed in with them.

22

u/CrowsFeast73 Jul 15 '26

Excessive fans of the Simpsons I guess.

14

u/danielcs78 Jul 15 '26

They clearly aren’t any good whatsoever at playing knifey spoony.

To be fair the way I ride is a danger to everyone but mostly me!

7

u/Stryker1-1 Jul 15 '26

And what the news calls assault style firearms

70

u/Remote_Mistake6291 Jul 15 '26

None of them look like actual firearms.  The bottom is a Gamo airgun.

146

u/dannysmackdown Jul 15 '26

Camo gun is a pellet gun, AR is an airsoft gun and bottom gun looks like a pellet gun too.

I'm not convinced there are any real guns in this photo.

3

u/jwin709 Jul 16 '26

How can you tell with the AR? Is it the butt stock that seems fit for holding batteries?

1

u/dannysmackdown Jul 16 '26

Yes. They do make butt stocks irl for real AR's but at the end of the stock you can make out the connector for the battery.

100

u/SonOfJaak Jul 15 '26

They all look like BB guns.

31

u/TheIronGus Jul 15 '26

Some are airsoft

6

u/Matty_bunns Jul 15 '26

I was just going to say that.

1

u/Katolo Jul 15 '26

Thanks for letting us know!

52

u/isanthrope_may Jul 15 '26

Airsoft guns and…gabapentin. At this rate the white powder is probably flour.

17

u/Brapika Jul 15 '26

The flour was milled on an electric rotor rather than in a rotary hand-mill. Therefore, it's a prohibited substance.

4

u/GrayCustomKnives Jul 15 '26

Well yeah, that’s a fully semi automatic assault style flour mill. A weapon of mass production. Only single shot manually operated flour mills are allowed.

60

u/CallousDisregard13 Jul 15 '26

RCMP: These are domestically sourced crime guns.

Poly: 75% of crime guns are domestically sourced!

22

u/Eglitarian Jul 15 '26

Be sure to check your local Canadian tire for more scary crime guns!

7

u/CallousDisregard13 Jul 15 '26

My favorite is the "Daisy Red Rampager" .177 calibre of death and destruction

19

u/Ok_Pipe6417 Jul 15 '26

I'd say they're larping a bit. No firearms there, gabapentin is the same stuff the vet perscribed my old lab for pain. The white stuff could be anything but reminds me of the probiotic I gave said dog also given by said vet. At thia rate the small bottle is probably combantrin for bum worms.

4

u/outdoorsaddix Jul 15 '26

Believe it or not, people abuse it too and there is a black market for it.

I was prescribed it a while ago for chronic nerve pain (didn’t do shit for me unfortunately) and in researching it, I stumbled on r/gabagoodness

So believe it or not, people do abuse it in high doses and ergo there is a black market for it.

1

u/CountryFine Jul 15 '26

I recently started taking it for sleep issues, and the first time i took it (on a pretty low dose) felt super zen and relaxed, similar to weed. I could imagine it would give a pretty euphoric high at a larger dose

18

u/LongdayShortrelief Jul 15 '26

Who slangs Gabapentin 😂😂😂

14

u/CollectibleHam Jul 15 '26

Scarface raiding his grandma's medicine cabinet I guess lmao

16

u/Vintage_Pieces_10 Jul 15 '26

Vancouver island special right there

3

u/Current_Scallion_966 Jul 15 '26

LOL why is this the way it is

11

u/fetishlyme Jul 15 '26

All bb guns

I’m fairly certain that if you carved a piece of wood to look like a gun, painted it black and used it in a crime, it would be posted and recorded as a “crime gun”

3

u/Trick-Goat-3643 Jul 15 '26

Doesn't have to be used in a crime, just seized

8

u/Orcasystems99 Jul 15 '26

Didn't they say looked like firearms, but were not... airsoft and Gamo. 177 pellet guns

6

u/mustang-4life Jul 15 '26

Airport and pellet guns

6

u/Glockinmytacklebox Jul 15 '26

Gabatron out

3

u/crafty_alias Jul 15 '26

Lmao. I've never seen someone so excited to shovel snow.

5

u/SneakerReviewZ Jul 15 '26

Bucket O’ Bullshit

5

u/GodsGiftToWrenching Jul 15 '26

Best part about Canadian crime stats, even though these are all airsoft or pellet guns they will be counted as firearms siezed in crimes. Last time I checked stats for firearm crime the break down included injuries and fatalities resulting from bb guns

3

u/Trick-Goat-3643 Jul 15 '26

RCMP Definition: The RCMP defines a "crime gun" as any firearm used or suspected to have been used in a criminal offence, those with obliterated or altered serial numbers, guns not reported lost or stolen, and replicas, toys, 3D-printed guns, or air guns used in offences.

Doesn't require an injury, just has to resemble a gun and be seized by police

5

u/neck-tourniquet NathaLIE Provost is a cancer Jul 15 '26

5 seized firearms and no ammo...or is it they didn't want to show the pellets and bbs?

4

u/Infinite_Price_3550 Jul 15 '26

I bet these guys are actually from Campbell River. That place is such a shit hole. Comox isn't much better.

2

u/Vintage_Pieces_10 Jul 15 '26

I think the report said they were from Surrey, en route to a residence in Comox where they were caught

4

u/imjonjoncanada Jul 15 '26

None of those are "real" firearms...and there's no crack in the photo either. The capsules are probably supplements and the bags of "powder" are probably flour mixed with laxative lol. Air-softs and pellet guns can still be dangerous though and if they were used to commit robberies, glad they got em. I'll bet whoever these belonged to had a pit-bull they didn't take good care of and if anyone called their bluff, they wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight.

5

u/NIBLZ_HAMSTR Jul 15 '26

Really impossible to tell for sure without a closer look, but I see at least 2 pellet guns... I dont think any of them seem 100% legit to me. I have no idea what that top one is.

4

u/Ov3rReadKn1ght0wl Jul 15 '26

As others have said, these are all pellet and BB guns, not actual firearms. However, they'll be counted as such for firearms crime statistics because of how charges work in these parts.

3

u/Leather-Tour9096 Jul 15 '26

Pretty sure there’s crackheads with bigger guns than this in comox 🤣

3

u/imjonjoncanada Jul 15 '26

Crazy thing is, if they bought these air-soft/pellet/BB guns legally at Canadian Tire and used them in a robbery, the government would site them as "legal firearms used in a crime". Another thing many don't know is, if a farmer has a shotgun, or small cal varmint firearm and they lose their ability to provide for their family due to government mismanagement....and they take their life.....that goes down as a death involving a legally purchased firearm. These make up a great percentage of the insanely small number of deaths caused by/involving legal firearms. So gross

3

u/NotCriminallyRespons Jul 15 '26

None of those are real

3

u/Melodic-Street-8898 Jul 15 '26

U know ur about that life when u got a sawed off pellett gun

2

u/kittywampuss Jul 15 '26

Lol Comox Valley

2

u/Simple_Address1934 Jul 15 '26

I thought drug dealer are rich, they gonna carry something like golden eagle or something. Bad economy.

2

u/pyates1 Jul 15 '26

At least the RCMP got some publicity out of this, why waste a photo op. Someone is getting a commendation called the circle jerk as well.

2

u/Motor_Historian2634 Jul 15 '26

Bottom one is an umarex surge, I still have one from when I was a kid

2

u/MixSpecific4630 Jul 15 '26

Those weren’t local crack heads. Was a few dipshits from surrey that got busted in the valley

1

u/floppy_breasteses Jul 15 '26

I can say for 100% that three of these are airguns, and 90% that the other two are as well. Kind of a janky collection, IMO.

1

u/Altruistic_Split9447 Jul 15 '26

I think they are all BB guns

1

u/georgeofthejungle71 Jul 15 '26

At least they didn't call them assault weapons.

1

u/McPhlyGuy Jul 15 '26

BB guns. All of them. What a joke. Both the police and the retards they think they’re cool gangstas with these.

1

u/moonpie_888 Jul 15 '26

Top might be a .22

1

u/Less_Ad_6609 Jul 15 '26

Finially they for the gabatron

1

u/[deleted] Jul 15 '26

Dudes are chopping gabapentin armed with BB guns 😆

1

u/SexiTwink Jul 15 '26

Squirrels are again safe to smoke meth on the streets.

1

u/Any_Fan_5320 Jul 15 '26

All pellet and bb guns including the sawed off pyle o shit

1

u/Seared_Gibets Jul 15 '26

My guess, in no particular order:

BB gun, Pellet gun, BB gun, Pellet gun, Pellet gun.

1

u/Lobsterstarfish Jul 16 '26

Literally all pellet guns XD legally they can’t just take them!

1

u/Cbrad1609 Jul 16 '26

Gotta love comox

1

u/Papabandit_ Jul 16 '26

its so funny to me that Air guns are legally counted as guns for the sake of stacking charges so we get images like this.

1

u/cherryewitthak Jul 16 '26

Gabapentin and BB guns 😂

1

u/Background-Way7794 Jul 17 '26

air guns are firearms, just CC 2 exempt for the intended purpose of use. Take one of these and wave it around at someone? firearm charge.

1

u/chickenmcbro Jul 21 '26

All pellet/BB guns
