Upgraded the chassis on my Remington 700 from
stock with Kwik Klip magazines to this. Pretty sweet upgrade imo. Big fan of the 700. This is the Hunter magpull chassis. Great weight as well. Found it on gunpost for $400 shipped. Sold my old stock for $75.

What's the thoughts for lever gun handle wrap preferences? Leather or paracord wrap? For running without gloves. I noticed Amazon has the Wayne's Dog leathers which look nice.

I’m looking to buy a Holosun 510C and an Aimpoint PRO but they’re quite expensive north of the border here. But at Cabela’s down in freedom land, the 510C alone is $56 cheaper even with the conversion rate. With a little help of Google I found that technically you’re not allowed to bring US bought optics across the border into Canada but the Canadian border side has no issue with it.

Has anyone tried this or have any advice or experience with this? I’m always down for good deal but also don’t to get into a ton of trouble.

EDIT: upon further reflection after getting ripped in the comments, I’ve decided not to be an absolute cheap skate and buck up the extra monies and just buy it here. After all, Carney and the libs need my tax dollars to try and ban more guns 🤙

Hi folks, its time to finally get my hands on my first shotgun.

I have been doing some research and with my knowledge on shotguns being soo little, i must admit i cant really decide on anything ive seen so far.

I mainly want one for "owning one" and maybe waterfowl hunting. Ive pretty much steered clear from shotgun after firing a 12ga slug on one of my coworker's shotty and was left traumatized xD.

Fairly new to shooting, been about 4 months with a PAL. Already got a ruger10/22, tikkat3x in 308win, and the type 56 sks. Must add a shotgun.

TLDR: looking for advice regarding a shotgun purchase. Brand,chambering and action type recommendations for a new shooter.

Hi there. I've been curios about the backland hunter due to it's specific style. I've been in the market for a new firearm for a bit. I've been deciding on the backland hunter, mk15, and the carmel. I know that the backland hunter has had some issues with customers and other review posts. But like i mentioned. It's current style of how it looks really intrigues me. Please let me know if it's worth dumping over 2,000 on the mk15 or better to get the backland hunter.

I'm no longer on the renewal page and I cannot seem to find the section to pay for it online.

The renewal is in process, but I have until September 6th to pay for it. I'll give them a call after work, but the RCMP portal is so barebones that it's tough to find the page.

When I was 17 I was very immature and did some very stupid things. I was charged with, and pleaded guilty to manufacturing and possessing a firearm, as well as some other charges.

Now I’m 20 and I’ve completely turned my life around. I’ve completed my sentence, am in university, and am looking to get my PAL & RPAL before they start banning more guns. I don’t have a firearms prohibition order (thankfully), but I’m worried that since my access period is still open (until 2031), when I check yes under the “have you been charged in the last 5 years” section, they will look at my charges and probably deny the application.

The main reason for this post is I’m not sure how the access period and sealed records actually work for PAL applications and I can’t find any information for this that is pertinent to youth charges.

Will they always be able to see my charges since it’s the RCMP and a firearm related application? If so, then what difference would it make if I apply now vs after the record is sealed, I would rather get denied now than waste 5 years anticipating and get denied then. Conversely, if they are unable to see my charges after the access period ends, I’m scared that if I apply now, the denial and reason for denial will permanently be recorded in the RCMP database, potentially affecting future applications.

I hope that my mistakes in the past won’t permanently bar me from the privilege of owning firearms, and I hope to become one of you guys soon.

Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.

I do consider refinishing the wood but i am not sure yet, i do want to keep it original for the history but i do want to bring it back to it's former glory, i am torn between both options

I have a Ruger Marlin 1895 SBL 45-70 and am looking for a scope mount that allows me keep and use my ghost ring, because I'm just built this way. I found the UTG AIR31850 which is...next to perfect (pic 1).

Now for the dilemma that almost makes this mount perfect. As you can see there are a total of 5 "lugs" that fit into the picatinny rail (3 full size and 2 nubs). The 1895 SBL isn't quite a "full" picatinny rail as after the first several there is place where it bolts into the frame without any rail spots (pic 2).

In order to get this to fit where I need it to be (at least more comfortably), I would be looking to...shave (grind) off the red circled little nub-lug (pic 3) so it fits over that plate on the rail. I've seen other mounts using 2 slots, 3 slots, 4 slots, 5...yadda yadda. How compromised do you all feel this would make the mount, if at all...or would it be fine to do this? Has anyone else done something similar before?

And yes I'm aware its being mounted "backwards" but this is due to the needed eye relief (feel free to roast me idc).
