Based af. Now you have to find a Lee loader for the .303 just only use your own spent brass as it only neck sizes. Makes it a lot more cost efficient to shoot.

I was thinking the same, but then I just went and got a full on reloading kit instead and never looked back. Now I reload and cast for 10 calibers.

Sorry what do you mean? I’m looking at reloading my own ammo. But right now isn’t practical as I live in a 1 bedroom
Apt, and don’t have a whole lot of space

Lee loader kit doesn't require a press.

Lee (the reloading company) also makes a handheld press. Combine that with a neck sizer. I wouldn't wanna use the handheld press for full sizing.

When I first got into reloading I had all my equipment in about 3x 5 gallon buckets that I could set up pretty much anywhere.

since your going the historic identity route i suggest you look for a cooey 39 or 60. authentic 20th century canadian made and while rough is a thumbtack driver

That's true, though everything I read about the mags/trying to find parts for them kind of turned me off of the whole thing

Finally good taste for a first rifle. See to many people buying plastic Turk junk because it's what looks like a video game or movie rifle.

This is the way

A .22 to poke holes, and the lee Enfield to annihilate whatever remains. You should grab a Cooey model 60, if you want to continue the Canadian firearms collection. Cheap as hell, and really accurate.

Just looked at the model 60, seems really cool. I was however thinking of a Henry repeater

Henry golden boys are cool, but like others have said, a cooey for $150 is a crazy utility rifle and pure canadiana. Mine has dispatched many pests in the vegetable garden. You can even buy a weaver side mount for them to mount modern optics (mine has a vortex vanquish on it, purely because I could)

Cant go wrong with a Henry either. I have a mares leg in .22LR. Very accurate, and fun to plink with.

"Weapon of war designed to kill as many people as quickly as possible" (literally tho lmao)

What are you going on about?

People use that wording as justification to ban "assault style" rifles. But that wording could apply to the Lee Enfield to

So after the massacre in Nova Scotia, Trudeau used that phrasing as an argument for banning firearms like the AR-15. The gag is that something like the Lee Enfield, the SKS, hell even an antique Martini-Henry rifle rifle fit that description (you don't even need a PAL if you get a genuine one).

Yet, these guns aren't touched by ban lists (except maybe the SKS in future), mainly because they aren't used in Rambo or Johm Wick films.

So Trudeau saying what I quoted in my original comment applies to your Lee Enfield, because it's original purpose was to be a standard issue rifle for the armed forces, and to fire (kill) as many times before needing to reload.

EXCUSE ME SIR?! This is your first gun and you didn't buy a TM22?

Great choice btw.

A fine choice I have two they are loads of fun to shoot

1

u/Hockeynut_11-11 16d ago

Which ones? I was looking at the website where I bought this one, and they just got a bunch more. If I was to ever buy another Lee, or maybe even surplus rifle I’d want something with a scope.

1

u/DonJuanPrawns 16d ago

Youd have to buy an adapter to fit the scopes they can be kinda expensive. It you like the lee should look into an M1 grand those are fuckin amazingly fun to shoot

1

u/Hockeynut_11-11 16d ago

I want to! Just need to save up the $4000 for one! Haha

1

u/DonJuanPrawns 16d ago

The two I got were well under 4k try RDSC they have em last I checked it's a pretty decent site. So is reliable guns I think they sell em for less then 4k also

1

u/Hockeynut_11-11 16d ago

For sure, I used G4C for the Lee
