Finally got my first rifle. 1917 SMLE in amazing condition. Already looking at a .22 to just poke holes and have fun with!

People use that wording as justification to ban "assault style" rifles. But that wording could apply to the Lee Enfield to

So after the massacre in Nova Scotia, Trudeau used that phrasing as an argument for banning firearms like the AR-15. The gag is that something like the Lee Enfield, the SKS, hell even an antique Martini-Henry rifle rifle fit that description (you don't even need a PAL if you get a genuine one).

Yet, these guns aren't touched by ban lists (except maybe the SKS in future), mainly because they aren't used in Rambo or Johm Wick films.

So Trudeau saying what I quoted in my original comment applies to your Lee Enfield, because it's original purpose was to be a standard issue rifle for the armed forces, and to fire (kill) as many times before needing to reload.
