Does anyone know if there is a good shop in Canada that can modify a chest rig. Looking to add a dangler so I need a velcro patch put on the back. Much appreciated!

I was in the UK recently and walked into a gun room packed to the rafters with new and used shotguns, at great prices. The staff were extremely friendly, very well-informed and attentive. They had Berettas, Guerinis, Mirokus, Perazzis, English SxS, sporting and field models, ranging from 50 GBP (beater guns, but safe to use) to 35,000 GBP, all on the rack and available to handle, all priced transparently and fairly. Where used Canadian equivalents exist, they were almost double the cost. Customers were utterly spoilt for choice and that one gun room had more available than I have found at all online retailers in Canada combined. I would have walked out with about 10 guns, gladly paying what was on the tag. What gives? The UK isn't exactly considered pro-gun, and has a reputation for being expensive as a shopping destination. Why do we have such slim pickings in comparison?

I’m too lazy to check the ban list, but are ruger scout rifles on it? I’m kinda feining for one if they aren’t on the list

Howdy Folks
The Texan is back with yet another gun appreciation post, where today we have the FN P90, or as it is called in the Civilian market, the PS-90.
Once was available in Canada, and now no longer is due to it now being classified as a Prohibited Weapon.
Still though, it is a cool gun to talk about because for many of us who are Gamers or Weebs, well let’s just say that the P90 gave many people nostalgia, and its easily one of the most recognizable weapons on the planet.
Anyways
Enjoy!

Glad I was able to put my bayonet to good use tonight! Such a practical rifle!

I know I'm gonna get hate for this, but I signed up to turn my rifle in. I haven't shot it in many years even prior to the "buyback" and was already thinking about selling it before the stupid Liberals decided to think all black guns were scary.
Now I have a newborn on the way now so might as well sell it and spend that money on diapers and baby stuff. The price they offered wasn't far from what I was going to sell it for anyways.
But my main grievance is that I followed all the steps and signed up before any deadlines for the compensation program. Tried to setup an appointment weeks in advance of my areas collection. But when I go to setup an appointment the stupid website won't allow me to book an actual appointment saying something along the lines of "the number of firearms I have exceeds the amount they can process at a single time" or something like that. But I only have the one firearm... Hell they even mailed me the box.
So I called the hotline to ask what was going on, and their answer is "public safety will call you within 10 business days" that was over a month and a half ago. My collection period has come and gone and has moved almost 2 hours away from my house now.
What options do I have now?
EDIT/UPDATE: Just got off the phone with the Hotline, apparently public safety decided to move my collection location a little bit closer to my house. Still about an hour and a half drive, I spoke with them on the phone last time on September 1st and they stated that public safety would email me or call me. But apparently 3 hours later they decided to just change my location without notifying me. So here I am a week later still expecting a call or email, just to find out my location changed and I try to setup an appointment and of course there's no slots available...

Edit: Ran 120 shells through the SG-12 today in 25 mins nonstop. Quick note, it’s a winner (with the right ammo).
Summary:
Overall it ran exceptionally well, I’m happy to say no screws are loose, choke remained tight on the bore, stock did not come loose, and the forend stayed on. I ran majority of my shotshells in semi auto, and the shells that gave me a hard time I ran in pump reliably.
The only thing that I noticed was my bolt released seemed to have gotten stuck near the end, I was able to fix it by changing into pump and then pressing the bolt down to release it. Seems to be working fine now, but interested to see how it holds up in the next 100-200 shells I run next.
I did this all under 25 mins, the gun did get hot, it was a vibe seeing the steam come through the vented hand-guard not going to lie.
I ran the following:
What Ran Good:
10 Shotshells of RIO Game Buckshot (1345fps); no malfunctions
10 Shotshells of RIO Game Slugs (1410fps); no malfunctions
25 Shotshells of MILI Defense Buckshot (1350fps); no malfunctions
25 Shotshells of SCORE Competition Slugs (1300fps); no malfunctions in semi auto
25 Shotshells of SCORE Buckshot (1350fps); no malfunctions in semi auto
10 Shotshells of American Whitetail Slugs (1600fps); no malfunctions in semi auto
What Ran Bad:
15 Shotshells of American Gunner Buckshot (1350fps); this didn’t have enough juice for some reason to cycle reliable, had a few instances where it got stuck in the chamber, so the shell lip for the extractor seems like it doesn’t like it. Also had double feeds with this and it was a pia to clear them in semi auto. No issues in pump though which is nice to say. I did run 5 of these in my 1301 and it cycled it flawlessly. So the only times I encountered double feeds or failure to extract was with this ammo only.
Honestly the fact Score runs so good is a huge W, it’s cheap ammo and you can really just blast them all day long.
I really do think I can run a 250 burndown gauntlet with this. Just to see what happens 😉

TNA is dropping a modular faux suppressor that can be flip between covering the barrel inverted style or front of barrel mode. It has rings to simulate baffle stack holders that allow you to have it as short or as long as you want. It should be useful if you want to disguise part of the length of the NR Makasi or Carmel barrel.

Just picked up a Tikka T3 in .270 Win. Should I hunt with the factory iron sights, or put a scope on it? If you’d go with a scope, what would you recommend? Thanks!

I'd like a basic bore scope to add to my gunroom toolkit. I'm ok running it with my Android phone, no need for a screen. Any feedback on these? Or any other basic unit that you'd recommend?

I bought a new tm22 from FOC back in June (OG 18” full metal one). Finally had the chance to shoot it today and it wasn’t a great experience to say the least.
Before I went to the crown lands I ran a patch down the barrel and did a light lub around the bolt area with some hoops live (I just took out the guiding rod and spring but didn’t dissemble the bolt).
Cci blazer: completely unusable. Every 2-3rd round was a light strike.
Aguila super extra: slightly better but a light strike every 5 rounds or so.
Cci mini mag: best, maybe one light strike every mag.
On top of this, I will get a double feed or stove pipe about once every 25-30 rounds
Sometimes the bolt would lock half open (no idea what’s going on here) and I’d have to twiddle with it with the mag out and and toggle the safety until I could get the bolt fully open to pull out the stuxk round.
Anyone else have similiar issues? I’m about to send this back for a warranty (but I am not expecting too much).

I ordered a gun from Cabelas on Aug 30 and the tracking is still saying it is waiting to be picked up by courier. Why does it take so long for them to process and ship products, that I presume are already landed in Canada somewhere?
Does anyone know how much longer I'm going to waiting for this firearm to be delivered?
Thanks

Does anyone know where I can buy a piece of arca rail that’s exactly 1 mlok slot long? I see lots of options in the US but none in Canada.

Anyone know what would happen in this particular situation?
Let’s say I got a long term ATT for a loaned handgun. The owner dies while it’s in my possession, what would happen with that firearm?

Has anyone who has done so documented their process of making their Sks look like an AK? Also was wondering how far you can make it look like one before it becomes illegal
r/canadaguns • u/DafaqYuDoin • 11d ago
This conversion kit is the FAB M4 SKS. Unfortunately it has the rounded foregrip which cannot be replaced from my research.
Anyone seen something like this with a full PKT so I can add something like a Magpul angled?
Also, does foldable or fixed determine whether this is restricted or not? Figured I'd go fixed to play it safe since I am not yet familiar with all the laws etc.

Hi All, Let me know if this is right or wrong place to post/ask this...
I found a flat spot on my SKS gas rod, while cleaning, and it is still blued. I'm just wondering if anyone else has come across this, and is it normal? The rifle fires just fine.

I’m considering picking up a new Henry 30-30 for a bush gun, I’m interested to hear anyone’s thoughts on the new Henry’s quality, reliability etc.
Better to buy new? Or better off finding a good condition older model.

Unknown at this time maybe I’ll still end up coughing up the money for the fox operator buffer tube but I said to my self last night why not just make your own. So I present to you this thing. Here’s a v1 prototype I’ve got a few changes to make and reprint it for test fitting but this is functional . I just tossed on a random stock for photos I plan on using a prs lite or a moe/ctr stock. Thanks for looking!
