Shipping times from Cabelas?

I ordered a gun from Cabelas on Aug 30 and the tracking is still saying it is waiting to be picked up by courier. Why does it take so long for them to process and ship products, that I presume are already landed in Canada somewhere?

Does anyone know how much longer I'm going to waiting for this firearm to be delivered?

not OP, but for the most part, my store (Vaughan Mills) is virtually out of stock on anything that ever goes up on sale.

I ordered my stoeger over under from them, total time from purchase to delivery was 2 weeks. Keep in mind, they sell more than firearms and ammo, and probably do large volume in online sales…also because they’re dog shit.

Most places Ive ordered from take 2 or 3 days to get the product out. You ordered on a Sunday, it wouldn't have been processed until Monday or Tuesday, and now you have a long weekend.

Actual shipping times once its in Canada Post's hands usually isn't more than 5 business days, so hopefully you have it y next Monday.

I would just contact their customer service # to get an update. One time I had made an online order from Cabelas/Bass Pro and it was delayed for like 2-3 weeks for whatever reason.....I called the customer service number and there was movement on the order in like a day or two.

One time, they lost 8lbs of tannerite on its way to me. No clue where it went. Reshipped it, took over a month

If i remember correctly, Cabelas states they have up 2 weeks to ship. Also in my experience, they almost always end up taking the 2 weeks.

You know what gets packages moving faster? Complaining on Reddit instead of picking up the phone to call customer service and asking what is up.

There could be a backorder. They may need to ship one to the fulfilment center. They may be waiting on an order from the manufacturer. There is a million different reasons that we would have no idea what is causing the delay.

One thing I do know is ever since Bass Pro bought them out, the customer experience went from a slow decline to a steep drop. In our area Bass Pro/Cabela's has gone from an outdoor store with decent gear for good prices to a store with mediocre gear and astronomical pricing. I find it hard to spend money in there now because everything is so over priced.

Pretty sure they just ship from whichever store has the item in stock and it depends on processing times of that store.
