Feets / Collection / My build XCR magazine SKS chassis progress

I made a few updates to my project. Forend connection interface is now much more discrete and will allow for many different handguard styles planed.

Material is now Polyphthalamide Carbon Fiber which can handle impact like a champ and up to $250 degrees Celsius temperature.

Magazine release is much more tactile with a better spring and the whole magazine release is now easy to replace in 20 seconds in an unlike scenario of failure.

Got my PAL at 18, been collecting for bout a year and a half. Seven total firearms (wallet hates my hobbies). Only things left in the bucket list is a No4 Lee, Garand, Silver Pigeon, also maybe an antique Webley, plan to replace the TOZ and K11 for those (no plans for more than 12 pews).

Anyway top down from first pic:

Swiss K11

Spanish FR-8

Chinese SKS (Late run factory 26 “French tickler”)

Soviet TOZ-34ER (Stalker!)

American Ruger 10/22 (75th anniversary edition)

Italian Beretta 1301 tactical Gen 2 (Burris Fastfire 4)

Finnish Sako S20 (Vortex Viper HD 3-15)

TS more expensive than fishin :(

Feets / Collection / My build My first gun ever is an SKS

Post image

Did my duty as a Canadian and bought an SKS as my first gun ever, ended up with a detachable mag because the other ones in stock had too much rust.

Touching on another subject, my PAL application only took 2 weeks to be approved after applying 28 days from the moment of finishing the safety course.

I promised to my bank account that there would be no gun except Carmel coming later Summer.

However I could not pass the last A300 UP with discount…

Took it apart, cleaned and bathed it with oil

Now I need to put some accessories on it and bring this beauty to the range

Was in the market for something compact, versatile, and easily reachable in the truck or the bedroom. Settled on this monster, as usual I am excited and the wife is filing the divorce papers.

Did I hit the jackpot or what! Family member found out a purchased an SKS recently and gave me 15,000 rounds of Chinese surplus ammo for free because he got rid of his rifle years ago. Going to be some nice free shooting.

This Alex’s Homebrew gen2 T handle kit is incredible. The LPVO is fantastic, too. The bolt hold open button is super slick. The TM22 is so smooth and accurate🫠 I can’t get over this setup lol so happy right now.

Feets / Collection / My build Finally here

It’s finally here! Such a cool rifle. I kind of like the straight-pull action. It’s the 16”, and now I just need to get a scope, grip, tripod, etc.

I will say that it was really easy to fit the MRX magazine. It was snug at first, but after shaving off a little material with a sharp knife, it fit just fine.

I’ve had the chance to shoot AR-15s, a SCAR, and a Sig Sauer Spear in the States before, and I actually like how lightweight the MKII feels compared to those.

Any advice here from MKII owners?

Altobelli Coach Gun and Kel-Tec KS7. I took them out today and they're both a ton of fun.

The Coach Gun is quick and snappy, it's solid, doesn't feel cheap at all. One thing I like is that you can select which barrel to fire by moving the safety switch to the left or right. Yes, it's non-restricted, even at that barrel length of 250mm.

I heard negative things about the KS7, that it was unreliable, and had bad recoil due to the light weight. I didn't find either of those things to be true. It fed flawlessly every time, and the recoil was manageable with birdshot, buckshot, and solid slugs. I put a pair of flip-up irons on the picatinny rail.

This started life as a Charles Daley single shot 14” 12 gauge. My gunsmith made a custom barrel for launching pop cans/ tennis balls or smoke grenades!

Just wanted to say thanks to the community, especially the guy who just posted a beautiful picture of his Rossi r95 for me to see. It goes without saying you have all helped me avoid further bad financial decisions, and saved my wallet.

Anyways, here's my new Rossi r95 .357 lever. Thanks 🙄
