Got all my sbi parts in today for my updated 10/22 night vision build, previous gun was in a red SBI gen 2 chassis. Still need a light and pressure switches for the light + laser.

Parts list:

SBI C-71 receiver

SBI 12.5” barrel(came so oily like a diddy party)

SBI g3 10/22 chassis

SBI Upgraded 10/22 extractor

Magdump 10/22 buffer kit

SBI small handguard enclosure

SBI 10/22 to 597 magazine adapter

DLASK 10/22 charging handle

SBI buffer tube adapter

SMS Laser HXFC

Vortex crossfire 2 red dot

Magpul moe foregrip

Magpul moe stock

Random A2 flashhider(need some shims to time it)

Just a heads up, be prepared for your flash hider to get completely plugged up with lead and crap.

Yeah kinda figured, downside to 22lr. Not like we have many other options

We don't have one yet but we are working on them.

We're currently doing the initial run of chassis. This takes us way longer than normal because we're proofing and optimizing the manufacturing process.

So for now, I can just say, they'll be done when they're done. We're not rushing things.

I've actually stopped using flash hiders on my rifles, I was getting tons of carbon buildup on the crown of the barrel behind the flash hider on every rifle I've used them on. 

I bought one used too that had one on, figure it was never removed for cleading and the crown of the barrel was just absolutely caked in a mm of hardened carbon. It was tough to get off without damaging the ends of the rifling and crown. Can't be good for accuracy I figure and just a pain to clean. They do look cool though

Where does one find screw torque specs and build instructions for the 10/22 builders kit?

The exact torque doesn't really matter all that much.

Just built it today. Haven’t tested it yet. Only tried with snap caps so far, seems to feed and eject fine.

Does the 22LR have much muzzle flash under nods or is the flash hider there for crown protection or oal?

22lr does have flash but nothing crazy. Flash hider is there for crown protection and looks.

Sbi also makes a superlite chassis, might be more up your alley

Nice setup!

builds like this is they tend to be incredibly accurate, and with how much .22LR drops by 100 yards, a red dot doesn’t really do them justice. Red dots look great and absolutely have their place, but these custom 10/22s are practically begging for some quality glass to really take advantage of their accuracy.

This gun was built to just be a fun range toy, chose 22lr because while night hunting is illegal, target shooting at night is not but is also iffy depending on the officer so 22lr to avoid getting cops called and avoiding that conversation. usually i would have built a semi auto rifle for this but theres not much left. Had a sks and didn’t like it. Will never own a Turkish gun again so that rules out the adler and the alcor.

I also already have scoped 22lr

Hey man like the build and interested in making one similar, just curious how does the folding stock work with the length law in Canada? Not trying to be a smart ass just a genuine question, like is it measured from its folding point or when it’s opened ?

the entire sbi rifle. i didn’t realize you only bought the chassis. i’ve been trying to buy one of their complete builds and nowhere sells them their website only shows what they offer and their price range

I’d use this to take a deer
