You can ditch the trigger locks if that safe locks , you can fit 4 more in there. Every canadian should have an sks

Also don’t need a trigger lock while transporting if it’s non restricted

Just be careful, make sure to confirm with you local hunting seasons. Some restrictions can get added if you don’t have it locked or in a case during certain seasons

You can also store ammo with gun in cabinets or safes.

I store all of my rifles with trigger locks inside the cabinets.

I figure that I'm better safe than sorry. I don't want some twinky horse cop accusing me of unsafe storage. I don't have enough money to fight the charge.

My ammo is locked cases in another room. I do have some Spam cans still in wooden cases but they're not easily opened without tools.

Overkill? Yes.

I do the same thing, my firearms are always double locked. Like you said, better be safe than sorry.

If a castle law was ever passed (and pigs are flying), would you change how you store them ?

I'm not sure about this.

I like the idea of being "ready" but I don't trust that my grandkids would obey the "Do Not Touch" rule. I have a couple of cans of wasp spray handy, never know when the murder hornets might show up.

I have relatives in Missouri and Arizona and they're comfortable having loaded pistols in their bedside tables.

Bet the item listing advertises this as a 20 gun cabinet haha

My garage safe is advertised as a 40 gun safe, it has 19 in it and its full 😂

Natural evolution eventually brings you to " gun room " status.

Ah damn. I’m in the same boat. What’s the advice on how to tell my wife I need a bigger safe?

I still have to break the news to her that I bought an SKS today. So let me know if you find a good way. 😂

I recommended another safe in the basement. It didn’t go as well as hoped 🤣

Hahaha I’ve had to break the news to the wife a few times over the past 4 or 5 years lol best thing to do is get her into guns and a PAL as well if you haven’t already lol

Just remember, no such thing as too many guns

I feel you, had my pal way longer, but  the 12 gun safe is quickly becoming  full

Be careful stuffing too many into a cabinet especially with wooden stock I dented my Henry 22 lever almost cried lol mines an 18 cabinet and there’s no way it fits 18 not even close

Go to Cabela’s & get a 14-rack cabinet. Well worth it

Get a real safe, and why tf you have everything trigger locked?

1

u/kuhcirad98 Apr 18 '26

What a wild concept. A lockable cabinet and some extra safety 😂
