Did I hit the jackpot or what! Family member found out a purchased an SKS recently and gave me 15,000 rounds of Chinese surplus ammo for free because he got rid of his rifle years ago. Going to be some nice free shooting.

15,000 rounds? Like 11 crates worth? That’s a crazy score worth around $5k.

Gotta be a typo, I think they are usually crates of 1400.

1500, 1440, 1320, and 1100 are all common round counts depending on the era. 15000 would be ten crates.

Ah, that's right. Man, can you imagine someone just giving you ten crates of ammo for free? Holy fuck. I'd have to order a new barrel for my SKS I think.

My aunt said there are 12,000-15,000 rounds that he bought years ago, picking them up on the weekend.

Just clean it after using these ammo. Ballistol/water mix makes it easier to clean
