Cleaned my Tikka T3X for the first time. Accidentally twisted the housing on the bolt body. Heard a loud click and now it's stuck in this position.

I think I may have accidentally dry fired the bolt while.it was disassembled.

Any tips on how to get it back?

I’m new to shooting and still trying to understand moa’s and all that. These 4 shots were taken in 40 seconds and from my understanding is about 1 moa apart on each? Is that a good grouping for a hunting rifle. It’s a 30-06, should I adjust my sight any further or just leave as is?

Feeling very Canadian this week so I felt the need to share my own piece of a small and often unknown corner of Longbranch Enfield rifle production!

The last Lee-Enfield variant produced in Canada, the EAL rifle appears to be a quasi-joint venture by the crown corporation CAL (Canadian Arsenals Limited) and a private company/retailer EAL (Essential Agencies Limited). The history is rather convoluted and is better summarized here:

...however the TL;DR is that these rifles were built from the spare parts Longbranch had lying around after military orders for Lee-Enfield rifles dried up. The guns were sold to the RCAF as survival rifles for aircrew and on the civilian market as hunting rifles through Eaton's and other retailers.

EAL rifles are often confused for aftermarket sporterized Enfield rifles, but each EAL gun was built from the ground up in this configuration and in my opinion should not be considered sporterized.

My example is what is known in collector circles as a late-model Type B, distinguished by its two-position flip rear sight and layout of markings on the left side of the receiver. A distinctive mark of all EAL rifles is that the charger bridge (for feeding stripper clips or "chargers" in British English) has been completely machined off and a factory recoil-pad installed.

Shooting-wise it feels just like a standard No.4 Lee-Enfield... because it pretty much is... but in excellent condition as they were manufactured and sold as brand new rifles in the late 1940s and 1950s. I've had excellent accuracy with mine and it handles very well. The original Jostam "Anti-Flinch" recoil pad is miraculously still soft and works well to dampen hot .303 loads. Overall, a certified Canadian classic with vintage Lee-Enfield and civilian sporting vibes!

Plastic trigger guards work well enough... but the upgraded trigger group on an 870 Police Magnum, 870 Wingmaster, or 590A1 are what will survive real abuse.

Just some updates, I've posted before about different upgrades you can do with the Makasi using mine as a template. This upgrade, I took advantage of what's allowed in the U.S., installed an 11.5 inch barrel and a Haga Defense Brace with Tail Hook.

I like it, but it makes me want to turn it into a proper SBR so I can upgrade to the stock for the Haga.

For reference I live in Victoria BC, after Pullen’s passing there really is not a lot of options here. I potentially would be fine with shipping to vetted gunsmiths. I’m looking for someone who is good with antique revolvers etc.

Scored a cheap 77c at auction, with the rare red Vietnam rubber butt pad so I'm converting it to a 77e replica. I will not be altering the stamps or markings but I am trying to get it as close as possible otherwise. I cut the barrel down to 19" and re finished the furniture. Next up is a brass bead and then I'm going to look at options to get it parkerized. Very happy with how it cycles and shoots.

When buying or selling something on gunpost and someone responds to your ad with a profile but has either no reviews or recently made the account less then a week, month or six months? Do you even respond ? What's the cut off? Or offered you a deposit but can't pick it up for a month? (I have had this also now) Just say screw it and decide to keep it instead lol?

Laws dont mention 32 44 but 32 is mentioned, same with 44 Remington. I know 44 Russian is allowed, 44 Remington isn't mentioned but it sounds like it would no longer qualify because of the name.

How do you guys know if a caliber that sounds like another caliber on the no-go list but isn't on there is okay or not?

Am I supposed to take that list completely literally and any other caliber in an antique is okay? This isn't the type of thing to mess up, looking for Reddits opinion but I will call the CFP tomorrow.
