Slapping that trigger like it owes you money.

8

u/FD4L Apr 30 '26

Trigger slappin'

3

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 Apr 30 '26

Will work on that

"100 perfect reps is much better than 1,000 imperfect reps"

  • a JTF2 operator I trained with.

Stop shooting quickly until you can accurately shoot slowly. Hone the accuracy, then attempt a follow up shot that is also accurate, soon enough you will string together 3 or 4, then a full 10 round mag with most shots on target.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Also msg dumping is fun so go for it, just know that there's 0 training value if you're trying to get better.

Understood, but this was more of a functions test than anything.

The rifle started out as a hical converted SKS that was falling apart just from shooting it (made a previous post about this)

Canadian Rifle Chassis reached out to help me out. This is the first time taking it out after he finished working on it. I just wanted to dump rounds as fast as I can to make sure everything was fine and that the rifle no longer falls apart

u/DumbFuckingUsername May 01 '26

That's fair!

Enjoy the rifle!

I am speechless šŸ˜‚ why would you post this

25

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 Apr 30 '26

I like to scare pop cans. Keep em up at night in fear 🤣

6

u/CurlyWurly61 Apr 30 '26

I was talking more about the 10 round mag šŸ˜…

51

u/hockeyfanatic777 Apr 30 '26

These mags are legally allowed to hold 10 rounds

-33

u/CurlyWurly61 Apr 30 '26

But its a semi auto? Wtf kinda loophole is this šŸ˜‚ is never knew this... my bad

31

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 Apr 30 '26

Oh, you didnt know? This is the C products 7.62x39 pistol mag

13

u/CurlyWurly61 Apr 30 '26

Okay I knew the canadian gun laws were fucked... but now that I know there are 10 round mags for a semi auto while they are pinning the factory mag... mind blowing

25

u/AdditionalLoss7274 Apr 30 '26

The key there is that these are 10 round PISTOL magazines, which are legally allowed to hold 10 rounds. They JUST SO HAPPEN to also fit in a semi auto rifle. You missed out on the Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf pistol magazine fiasco. Those were the days.

4

u/False-God I call magazines gatteries May 01 '26

That and the Press Check Ventures equivalent. 13-14 rounds of 5.56 conveniently fitting into a 5 round Beowulf mag. Flimsy lips on the PCV mags, Alexander Arms mags were so nice in comparison.

Did any sort of legal conclusion come of that whole thing? Last time I paid attention to it the horse Gestapo put out a memorandum or some other non-binding statement saying they were prohibited but it wasn’t tested in court.

2

u/gamercast1337 May 01 '26

Wait... what??? Theres 7.62x39 10 round mags?? Real shit, no cap?Ā

2

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 01 '26

Glad to inform the people that these exists

12

u/BilboBaggSkin Apr 30 '26 edited May 01 '26

It’s not a loophole. We’re just allowed 10 round magazines for pistols.

-6

u/Evilstib May 01 '26

… SKS… Not a pistol…

10

u/BilboBaggSkin May 01 '26

The magazine inside the sks is for a pistol.

1

u/Evilstib May 01 '26 edited May 01 '26

So cross pollination of gun parts, gets around restrictions? Please don’t take this as me being critical, try to understand the details.

I have an SKS, and I want this! 🤣

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 01 '26

Yea, basically. Its like those 5.56 Cross mags for AR15s

17

u/fiestaskeleton Apr 30 '26

It's a "pistol mag", still legal. Same deal as the LAR mags

1

u/Willing-Kale-5905 Apr 30 '26

10 round arp mag?

6

u/JaxIsLoud Apr 30 '26

My only gripe with this setup is that the mag release is so far away from trigger finger.

3

u/AlbertaFree16 Apr 30 '26

Wearing a Multicam jacket to the range to hide from squirrels

2

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 01 '26

Nah, im a pop can hunter!

3

u/OkLack5468 Apr 30 '26

How do you get the Sks to accept the mag? I’ll buy some mags right now lol

6

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 Apr 30 '26

Hical mag adapter or TNA mag adapter

1

u/OkLack5468 May 01 '26

Which you do recommend.

3

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 01 '26

I hate hical as a company cause they sold me a lemon and then went through shitty customer service for months and never ended up fixing or replacing it.

But i think the hical adapter is better. Its slimmer and shorter. Also got a bigger mag release button.

1

u/Evilstib May 05 '26

Do you need the Canadian rifle chassis or others can be adapted (I currently have a tapco on mine)?

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 05 '26

Others can be modded. The chassis is not required for the mag adapter

1

u/Evilstib May 05 '26

Which magazine are you using? Does the mag adaptor come with a mag?

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 05 '26

No it does not. Im using the C product 7.62x39 10 round pistol mags

2

u/84camaroguy May 01 '26

Today I learned about 7.62x39 pistols.

2

u/BrotherLefthand Apr 30 '26

You dont have LRBHO on your sks???

3

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 Apr 30 '26

I do, but i do the iraqi reload anyways because it feels weird to cross the left hand over to release bolt

2

u/BrotherLefthand Apr 30 '26

The hical adapter takes standard AR release buttons. (Not an ambi lever)

I have the magpul extended button on mine. Makes release more comfortable.

If the release feels sticky at all, you can clearance the stock more behind the release bar. I had to do that, now mine runs minty fresh.

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 Apr 30 '26

Oh, i didnt know that. Will take a look

1

u/Bimmer_convertible May 01 '26

Wait a second …. Is that 9/ 10 rounds ?

2

u/CryptidWorks CryptidWorks May 01 '26

7.62x39 10-round pistol mags.

3

u/Bimmer_convertible May 03 '26

Ohhhhhhh didn’t even know they made pistol mags in that calibre. Thanks man.

1

u/FedInformant May 01 '26

What's the jacket, lad?

3

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 01 '26

Outdoor research Allies Mountain Jacket

1

u/Old-Selection-1012 May 01 '26

What chassis are we sitting in here?

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 01 '26

Canadian Rifle Chassis

1

u/Slowjuke May 02 '26

Just do the bolt mod please

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 02 '26

Bolt mod as in ā€œcut the tabs off that go through the feed lipsā€? Its done.

1

u/Evilstib May 02 '26

So a Canadian rifle SKS chassis, Hical adapter mag…which clip? I like the stubby look.

u/Elite0075 May 12 '26

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 13 '26

I dont want to pre-order, so we’ll see what happens late summer. Currently thinking Cadex or AI. You saw me on gunpost, im selling my tikka as well to try to fund a more expensive bolt rifle

1

u/Safe-Ad-2562 26d ago

How long did it take for that chassis to come? I bought one and they still haven’t given anything

1

u/BreadHumble8213 20d ago

Does the bolt not stay open?

People can be annoyed with me if they want but I don’t really get the wisdom of posting this.

An SKS is currently allowed to get through the admittedly inconsistent regulatory framework in Canada because it is a hunting rifle with a history in this country. In response people:

  • make it look as much like the vilified ā€œassault-styleā€ rifles that get banned
  • exploit a magazine loophole that obviously lets people workaround the intent of mag limits
  • post videos of mag dumping 10 rounds in a manner that 100% has nothing to do with hunting and very obviously mimics exactly the kind of thing Poly is trying to outlaw.

I get it. People should be able to own what they want as long as they are using it safely. But this is the type of video that will push regulators even harder to close the loopholes allowing a 10 shot, semiautomatic centrefire rifle to legally exist in Canada.

26

u/Competitive_Fun_5223 Apr 30 '26

it’s too late for this argument lol, The only thing keeping the sks from being banned is the sheer amount of people who own one. Also the sks is not a hunting rifle, it was designed for war. which makes the whole deal even more laughable

4

u/Murray3-Dvideos May 01 '26

Designed for war yes. But its most certainly also a great hunting rifle. The Jet engine was designed for war..... but alas look at what it's mainly used for today.

1

u/GodsGiftToWrenching May 02 '26

Definitely a solid hunting rifle, I typically strive to have a 4-6 moa rifle for hunting lol

16

u/Water-Foul Apr 30 '26

We are policed to an unreasonable level, and your mad that we aren't policing ourselves even harder, so that the people unreasonably policing us don't become more unreasonable. There is no benefit to trying to appease lawmakers or polititians who already adamantly hate us; and the evidence of this is that the next time they talk about us on the news they will most certainly have a full auto AR on screen while they do it, (not OP's 10 round SKS) I would argue that as they are trying to unfairly shape the image and nature of firearms ownership in a way that benefits their agenda, it is even more important for the individual to assert their own freedom to do with their own property as they wish. Everything OP is doing in this video is safe, and legal, therefor he is in the right to do it and post it.

-8

u/CanadaFootyFan Apr 30 '26

Yes, he has the right to do it and post it. My point is that posting this kind of video may lead to the elimination of that right.

13

u/AdditionalLoss7274 Apr 30 '26

Then they've already won.

6

u/MasterCheeef Apr 30 '26

Most gun crimes are not committed by lawful citizens so why punish those that aren't responsible for said crimes?

-4

u/CanadaFootyFan Apr 30 '26

I’m not punishing anyone. Just trying to be strategic about things that could influence increased overreach. If you don’t think videos like this energize the anti-gun crowd, I guess we agree to disagree.

6

u/marston82 Apr 30 '26

The anti-gun crowd is energized by the mere existence of lawful private gun ownership in Canada. Maybe we should all voluntarily surrender our guns to appease them too? That'll get them off our backs.

4

u/ablemount Apr 30 '26

When I keep in mind that the gubberment plan is to disarm the people, then nothing else needs to make sense.

The retoric about safety, the screwed up rules, the lies, and anything else a politician says, are just noise to keep us distracted from the end goal.

Meh, "Not gonna make a canoe outta me!"

5

u/R4ID on May 01 '26

Respectfully, Hiding in the shadows that we're gun owners and "playing nice" got us deep in the red with more and more things being banned.

I say at this point, the opposite is what is required, a united front of millions of people saying "Fuck you" to the gov in response to their stupid laws is what is needed. I will not comply with their Buyback bullshit and neither should anyone else.

7

u/GhostOoOooo Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26

Spoken like a true fudd. If us shooters get pigeon holed in to only acceptably using our guns for hunting and shooting paper targets at no more than 1 bullet every 3 seconds, we have already lost.

Keep it up OP, you make us proud.

1

u/FedInformant May 01 '26

Carney said that Canada is tired with participating in the lie. I thought this is what he meant

1

u/Bobsled282 May 01 '26

People really are missing the point of your comment...

1

u/CanadaFootyFan May 01 '26

It’s alright. I don’t really expect most people here to agree. But I still feel like it is a valid point.

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 01 '26

I get what you are saying, but at the same time, the SKS from its factory configuration, and the incoming Makasi are both far deadlier than the 22lrs that they have already banned. And the SKS was designed as a weapon of war, not a hunting or target shooting rifle. So they have their justifications already.

I love my ARs and definitely would not of sunk the time and money into this SKS if the ARs were still good to go

-2

u/Primary_Judge Apr 30 '26

You're not wrong.

0

u/CanadaFootyFan Apr 30 '26

Yeah, I never claimed it was good or that people shouldn’t have the right to do this sort of thing. I just question the wisdom of it. I knew it wouldn’t be a popular post.
