so what are the thoughts on the Uvalde school shooting?

Disasters like this are central to discussions of gun control.

I know most of the takes are going to be garbage, interested to see if there will be anything new and reasonable in the replies.

What take is there to have? Easily preventable, police sitting on their ass from the new reports coming out, schools should have security teams. Gun control doesn't work

Nvm I see in your replies that you don't particularly care for the OIC since you're "still able to do what you want". Absolutely ridiculous. You're already expecting garbage takes from us so you may as well have not said anything.

correct. I am not opposed to the OIC. I would have preferred it be done with specific, objective parameters instead.

I agree with its objective to reduce availability of low recoil semi-auto carbines. I don't agree it's the right method, it's missed a bunch of stuff, and very poor job of communication, explanation. Restrict vs. prohib another aspect.
