Shitpost / Memes Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang
August/September is a long way off, so might as well fantasize about eventual upgrades.
Will you be leaving it stock, or are you planning to pimp it out? If so, how?

u/starw24-ps4 Apr 17 '26
This honestly feels like the new ps5 coming out or something. Except the fact that the liberals could ban this PlayStation. Oh well. I preordered mine!

u/moonpie_888 Apr 17 '26
I want to but it's alot of money ahhhh

u/HappyCan7250 Apr 17 '26
I'm going to sell off 1 or 2 rifles when the time comes to cover the cost of it. I put down a $500 deposit on one. Like I always tell my wife, I have the money, it's just tied up in guns!

u/moonpie_888 Apr 18 '26
ended up putting the deposit down with gotenda its the cheapest one at 238$

Hey if things continue the way they are going Poly might end up forcing the Government to ban video games that contain guns.
5
u/burgers1919 Apr 17 '26
Plz don't give them any more ideas. They have been trying to understand Canadian firearms laws for however many years now and have a shockingly poor understanding. Don't divide their attention anymore they will be even more incoherent and rely even more on emotional vitriol

u/Eisgeschoss Apr 17 '26
"shockingly poor understanding"
You misspelled 'willful ignorance and deliberate misinformation'. 😛

That’s actually an acceptable time line in my eyes for me to blow my money on it (tragically)
23
u/aegisone Apr 17 '26
Less than that. And I hate saying that.
13
u/vcarriere Apr 17 '26
Specially now that they are in majority. They could just ban all semi now if they wanted.
9
u/jollygreengiant1655 Apr 17 '26
They didn't need a majority for the previous bans. That's not the issue.
3
u/vcarriere Apr 17 '26
There are certain things you can't do in oic. And we all know she got the poly woman to work on new legislation.
They even said before the election they had plans for new legislation related to FRT and magazines.

Its gonna get the Sterling Arms treatment. Banned before it hits. Fk Poly. Fk the Libs.
Nathalie Provost reminds me of that triggered liberal meme chick. Just rage and hate everything, out to get everyone she doeant agree with.
3
u/FRANK_R-I-Z-Z-O Apr 17 '26
I will have absolutely zero surprise if this makes it on the shit list. It is after all, scary looking.
🙄
3
u/gamercast1337 Apr 17 '26
Really? Quite optimistic of you. If we count when it actually releases, I say 4 months. (So like october?) If we count from like now, I say no later than their summer break.
Could be OIC or retroactive prohibited, thats the real bet. Quiet change or make a big scene about "gun lobby skirting around the law we need change!" Thats what we should be brainstorming we already know its getting banned but how 🤔
7
u/DougMacRay617 Apr 17 '26
Thats optimistic. I just ordered myn and i imagine it will be banned end of this yr at the latest. In two years its gonna be "high powered sniper rifles" & fast action firearms like pumps and lever guns, i say those because by then semi autos will all be outright banned

u/Flat-Dark-Earth Big Bore Specialist Apr 17 '26
Classic wooden FAL furniture is a must.
7
u/TheSockington Apr 17 '26
marstar only stocks the one side of the handguard and it kills me. I have one in my shop.
59
u/Theticallation Apr 17 '26
People are going to spend all this money and watch it get banned the next day and then we’ll get the next big thing, over and over and over.
Yeah, I remember the crypto
26
u/Murray3-Dvideos Apr 17 '26
I'm not sure anymore. I thought the Henry Homesteader and other stragglers would've been mopped up via OIC while the "buyback scam" was still open. I expect rather then an OIC, well eventually see a nasty new Firearms Bill.
24
u/Theticallation Apr 17 '26
Given the majority, I as well expect action to be taken in the form of new bills rather than OIC

U think? With the NDP boot licking didn't they pretty much have a majority though? Singh was basically a little vote goblin for the man he could never be wasn't he?
7
u/ThanksCarol Apr 17 '26
Or maybe instead of blaming everyone under the sun we start with the party who’s supposed to be pro gun. If cons had a half competent leader there wouldn’t be all these crossings and a majority. Regardless of what the liberals and NDP do, they always stated that they’re not pro guns. People need to start protesting and force these idiots to get rid of PP. yelling at the clouds at the liberals and now NDP is the reason we are in this mess. A clown leader should not be accepted, people were caping for PP non stop and now look at the state of affairs. It’s getting frustrating to say the least
3
u/burgers1919 Apr 18 '26
Man, idk if u are just a lib too but ummm... When a liberal government and liberal government shills on CBC say they should get rid of PP it means they are scared of him...
If I want to dominate my enemy I would not give them actual good advice I would do the opposite. Like "let us take your firearms it will somehow make you safe".
It is like you guys have never been a threat to anyone or held a position of authority where weaker ppl tried to bring you down...

buyback scam
"Confiscation" There are those who will receive nothing on top of those receiving a small fraction of what is fair.
4
u/Geralt-of-Rivai Apr 17 '26
Yeah people said the same thing about the Homesteader and the Alcor and I was worried too when I bought both, but I've had many months with them and thousands of rounds through them so why live in fear, go shoot!
14
u/bosnanic Apr 17 '26
The Crypto was a scam from the start. Crusader Arms sold the rifle before they even got a frt for it knowing full well the RCMP could declare it as an ar variant, after the OiC they had the audacity to crank up the price of that garbage rod to over 3k and then boom after RCMP review it got a prohibited status.
4
u/Canadian-gun-nut Apr 17 '26
That’s not a scam. They never lied and said they had a FRT and anyone who bought it knew WELLLLL enough that it’s a risk, a risk I was happy to take and will do it again anyday. The bans only mean you should get 10 or 50. If they don’t want you to have it, then you should have a lot of it.
2
u/ThanksCarol Apr 17 '26
Why not do refunds then?
4
u/Last_Temperature_599 Apr 17 '26
Bankruptcy... if they can't sell rifles they cant make the cash to refund. They got burned aswell you know. It's a small Canadians business the pre-order was the funds to keep the project rolling.
1
u/Canadian-gun-nut Apr 17 '26
Exactly that ⬆️ why would they even do refunds? Did you not receive the rifle you bought? They weren’t the ones making the rifle into a paper weight it was the tyrant government we have. But either way like I said.. it was a risk you take when you buy a rifle that this government will most likely ban, like the makasi now. Pre-orders will sell out anyways and all of us know that we might have it banned the second we get it and we don’t give a f because their bans and their tyrannical rules don’t apply to us because who takes this government seriously? You shouldn’t and like I said if the government doesn’t want you to have it the you should have 10 of it.. or 50
2
4
u/DougMacRay617 Apr 17 '26
Yeah god forbid they do whatever they can to give the people what they want.
7
u/ThanksCarol Apr 17 '26
Or the answer from outside the cult and in reality land is they did that shit to scam money from our community. They took pre order money and refused to refund it when the inevitable happened. Anyone defending them is part of the problem

u/1anre Apr 17 '26
People who didn't get their machines before the ban never got cash back, for what reason?
8
u/Icy6521 Apr 17 '26
At least this has a FRN which means there would have to be a new oic added to an already failing program
15
u/dgod40 Apr 17 '26
Didn't that bulpup shotgun have an FRN, and then the RCMP just do the old switcheroo?
8
u/conanap Apr 17 '26
Yeah I thought so too. I understand why people want this and will spend on it, but not currently a risk I’m willing to take given how… vague everything is
1
u/jwubadubdub Apr 17 '26
The more I speak to different people and dealers about it, it seems it was only vague because the information was leaked in advance of what would have otherwise been an exclusive/surprise offering by CRAFM today.
Apparently Gravel has been working on this for years, Brigade is well established and the Makasi has years of solid reviews. I still have questions about specifics of the barrel and gas system, but this situation seems somewhat different from other fiascos like the crypto
1
8
u/milanskiv Apr 17 '26
Not quite. RCMP can now change classification on their own, at a whim.
8
u/MostEnergeticSloth Apr 17 '26
It's still shocking to me people are still out there (particularly who use the internet) and didn't know this. They've been doing it since after the 2020 OIC. FRN doesn't mean jack apart from being able to import it en-masse. It's not safe by any means lol
13
u/CringelordCameron Apr 17 '26
I think the likelihood of another OIC is very low in the current political environment. This gun will probably stay NR for a while.
6
u/Wooden_Celebration34 Apr 17 '26
They don’t need to use an OIC now that they have a majority. And they’re in no rush (unless we get another tragedy). They will take their time and introduce a new firearms bill that encompasses everything they missed with the OIC and including everything they got with it as well so the supreme courts can’t overturn it.
2
u/1anre Apr 17 '26
Then Canada becomes what - the UK, as long desired ?
1
u/WinterInternal8799 Apr 18 '26
Would that mean the GSG’s would be legal again? They still have them there…
1
u/Wooden_Celebration34 Apr 18 '26
We are well on our way already. There’s talk of Canada joining the EU already.
1
u/CringelordCameron Apr 17 '26
We have probably 2 years before that happens, if it happens at all. Buy what you want and shoot it.
5
1
3
u/MostEnergeticSloth Apr 17 '26
They wouldn't. They've "modified" the FRT by changing dozens of firearm classifications well after the initial OIC without making a new OIC. Yes yes, FRT isn't law etc etc. Haven't seen anyone willing to step to the plate to challenge that in a court case tho...
Having a FRN is only useful for import. It doesn't make it any more or less safe than a rifle that doesn't have one. Just means they tickled the lab's balls.

u/DougMacRay617 Apr 17 '26

Does it take ar15 barrels?? Sbr incoming
1
u/DougMacRay617 Apr 17 '26
Yee piston gun tho. Not as easy as building a DI
2
u/Repulsive-Cucumber16 Apr 17 '26
I mean, pretty much same thing as the wks no? They were pretty simple to sbr
3
u/Puzzleheaded-Tie35 Apr 17 '26
Depends on how the piston/op rod is, if they're doing a rifle-length or mid-length for the 18.6", or if they're using a carbine-length like the WK/WS. If they use a longer shaft for the longer barrel (which they should to avoid overgassing), you may need to get a new one or chop and weld the one that comes with it. The thing with the WKs was that they were already using a piston that was meant for a shorter barrel.
6
u/some_guy2024 Apr 17 '26
Prob swap the stock for something with a nicer cheek weld and the grip for something more vertical (BCM most likely) then swap in a Geissele SSA-E or similar.
6
u/613mitch Apr 17 '26
A bren stock looks like it'd be a natural fit on this thing.
2
1
u/Infinite_Price_3550 Apr 17 '26
How would you get a Bren stock on this? Aren’t that all specificity made to work on in a Bren receiver? I know you could get a 1913 picatinny rail plug adapter to allow for some other stock options on a Bren.

u/Neat_Imagination2503 Apr 17 '26

1/7 twist, it’s a reloaders dream gun. Most bulk ammo is likely too light for that fast of twist. That being said……damn do 69grHPs love a 1/7 twist
7
3
u/No_Win_9797 Apr 17 '26
Id hate to get a sweet semi auto like this and not have a surplus of ammo that it liked to eat.
Side note, I’d way rather a 1/7 than a 1/12 that older ARs came with3
u/aidman66 Apr 17 '26
55gr is fine with 1/7. Is a slower twist more optimal for lighter projectiles? Sure. But 1/7 with bulk m193 isn’t going to hurt anything
2
u/No_Win_9797 Apr 17 '26
Oh it most definitely will not hurt, it’ll love it in fact But will your groups be farther apart woth lighter bullets…..very likely
2
u/bung_musk Apr 17 '26
I don’t think anyone is really planning on putting up tight groups with bulk ammo
2
u/No_Win_9797 Apr 17 '26
I agree with you on that But it’s nice to be able to. 55gr groups wonderfully woth a 1/9 twist So the comment I suppose was based on that Comparison

At this point, im just going to hold off on purchases like these. The government can ban this at any point and lets be honest the price is so over inflated. I hate that we've gotten so used to paying over 2k for a decent semi auto rifle because we dont have any other option.
2
u/PteSoupSandwich The 10/22 Dude Apr 17 '26
For anyone wondering, AR handguards will not work on this rifle...
Brigade said that the handguard is proprietary, and that there aren’t any other AR handguards that will work with the rifle because of the anti rotation tab systems for the handguard.
2
u/f1vepointoh Apr 17 '26
I really love the commitment to never giving up on flat top "sporting" rifles chambered in 5.56. It truly amazes me how many people are willing to risk going under just to sell 5/10k of these dam things. None the less i want it 🤣

Also does this take AR15 stocks? Might try something like the Maxim defense stock.

u/PaveHammer Apr 17 '26
They really need to drop the Para stock down one or two slots to be more reflective of the comb height on a FAL. It looks wrong at the top-most position, in my opinion.

anyone thinking of getting the restricted version? or no because if it gets banned the feds will know where to come looking?

Nobody is bringing in the restricted version for the time being (I asked a few shops). Best to just get the NR; if and when the restricted gets imported, you can sell your NR, or swap barrels, handguard and gas block and register it as restricted.

u/CrowOld5626 Apr 18 '26
New gun coming end of summer just got FRT proved the stores are taking pre orders right now some of them are already sold out and taking orders for the second shipment for the future it’s made in the USA Florida and it have reviews on YouTube already not some junk from turkey and it’s semi 556 although some people are worried might get band but tbh I’m still getting it even if it will get band lol
1
u/Sudden-Tone3983 Apr 18 '26
Like I said in another post....the gov will allow this to get imported, they will make between 100 to 160 million in tax money from it --> ban it --> rinse and repeat.
they stand to gain everything from makign sure the last "men" that can defend themselves become docile and poor.
1
u/Flafson Apr 18 '26
If they want people to become docile I doubt banning it after people get them helps that cause, they won't be able to take them back just make it illegal for use.
1
1
u/BowFella Apr 21 '26
Although the NR FRT is promising it doesn't mean anything. They can simply change it to prohibited with little to zero notice at the drop of a hat.
Sucks because the company looks like it's florida based which is a nice change of pace from the Turkshit or dumpster fire crusader arms garbage we've been getting for the same price. $2400 is still super steep for what it is. I'm confident it'll be the best semi 556 in the Canadian market by far, but that means as much as saying you're the best able bodied player in the special olympics.
1
u/IcySkyDream Apr 17 '26
I wish these alternatives would be more svelte and slim. I’m not digging all these chunky new piston designs.
I would have bought one of these a few NRs (now prohibs) ago, but I already have too many expensive paperweights. 😟
6
