The administration to the south is known to constantly use AI slop on various platforms.
As a Canadian gun owner I don't think our orgs using the same techniques can possibly do more good than harm. There are already people that likely see the whole canadian gun owning community as maple maga, no reason to help enforce their bias.
Harm to what though? This is a message to gun owners, who gives a fuck if some person that always votes liberal wants to think it’s similar to the US. I don’t see how a message being sent out that you can withdraw from the program and have a chance to keep your rifle would be rebuffed because the picture in the message is AI generated
When did I suggest that? I was replying to the other commenter saying “There are already people that likely see the whole canadian gun owning community as maple maga”. I’m talking about non gun owning people that have no clue about Canadian gun culture to begin with
Once again, this is a message aimed only for gun owners. Has nothing to do with anyone else. The use of AI has no bearing on anything in this situation
Anyone who has a gun affected by the ban already wants to keep it, which is sort of the core of the problem with CCFR's messaging. Everything they post is aimed to appeal to people who already agree with them, which is great for pandering for donations but not so great for actually achieving their policy goals.
Everything they post is only aimed at gun owners. You forget the time they took a bunch of donations to fund a tour around the country to... visit gun shops and solicit more donations?
The election? Hit up a bunch of liberal MP offices too. You also can’t really advocate when there’s a hostile government in power. The entire existence of the CCFR has been under liberal government, a lot easier for the government to fight against your messaging when they hate you. Wait for a friendly government to come in so they can actually do outreach without being lambasted
Weak excuse. The CCFR could try appealing to moderate non-gun-owners to develop some opposition to LPC policies, but they don't even do that, they just pander to people who already agree with them to get donations.
No political project has ever been successful without making allies out of undecided people.

Alright, who cares? I’d say the message is more important than the art
