With the freeze coming in effect will transfer be processed any quicker? Less coming in

If you’re standing in a long lineup and they close the lineup behind you, that isn’t going to get you through any more quickly.

Yes but they have a finite number of workers. Fewer people calling in to initiate transfers means more workers processing transfers.

In your example, it would be the equivalent of a door greeter switching to opening another cash register.

People are making the assumption that phone agents are the people who are also working through the stack of transfers. I don't think that's true.

No. It's still a 9+ month backlog in some provinces. The freeze will do nothing to speed up the rate in which the transfers are processed, it's just going to stop more transfers from being stacked on the end of the pile.

Unlikely, they won't be replacing burnt-out staff

The wait time is expected to peak at around two hundred days for September/October purchases according to the spreadsheet.
