Completed the CFSC on the 29th and given a copy of the course report by the instructor. Can I use this for proof I've completed the CFSC in my PAL application, or do I need to wait for an "approved" copy from the CFO?

You need to wait for the approved copy from the CFO. It should come in the mail 2-4 weeks after you completed the course.

That's so ass. In Alberta, you get your copy before you even leave. They fill it out right in front of you.

Yeah you get a copy of it but you will get the approved copy from The CFO in the mail. Doesn't matter what province. It needs the official CFO approved stamp to use as proof.

I got my PAL/RPAL by sending in the copy I was handed when I completed the course.

I never received a 'CFO approved' copy of my course results here. That's not a thing in AB.

February 2021.

Everything we needed to apply for our license was in our possession from the day we did the course.

That's weird, My wife did her course in May 2022 and the instructor told her that every form has to have a CFO approved stamp. Not that I expect the government to make sense anymore.

In AB or somewhere else?

Our instructor still mailed off copies of our tests but both me and my dad applied for our licenses with photocopies of the results we were handed while still there.

I don't recall having to wait for any mail before sending my applications in, but in my province the CRFSC is handled directly by the Provincial Firearm Office and not private instructors.

Yeah, you don't have to wait. Send in your application with a photocopy of your results. It is just Ontario (and maybe Quebec) who has to wait.
