This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

That's so ass. In Alberta, you get your copy before you even leave. They fill it out right in front of you.

Yeah you get a copy of it but you will get the approved copy from The CFO in the mail. Doesn't matter what province. It needs the official CFO approved stamp to use as proof.

I don't recall having to wait for any mail before sending my applications in, but in my province the CRFSC is handled directly by the Provincial Firearm Office and not private instructors.
