Still cant get through to the cfo.

Ontario is particularly awful. At least you guys in the coasts get an exclusive hour to yourselves. I gotta share with all the popular provinces.

Its the hang ups that really get my goat.

Edit: called 161 instead. Got through.

I tried the 1-6-1 approach. Got through right away. They wouldn’t complete the restricted transfer for me.

I have my reference number, as the seller got through last week after about 1100 tries (no, really!) but I’m 650 calls in and no dice yet.

Just keep calling 161 until you get someone who can do it

I gave 1-4-2 another 150 tries, then I did 1-6-1. Got through in under a minute, and she completed the transfer for me! I was super polite and apologetic, and she was quite understanding. Now the real wait begins...

its been a nightmare, tried every day last week, over 50 attempts a day. Trying to get my dads 2 heirloom restricted transferred to me for safety, but cant get in. If it connects to the queue, it will disconnect after 3-5 mins. but 90% of the time it immediately goes "sorry , call again later"

Same here. Hope nothing will happen before summer break so we still have time before the bill come into effect.

Dial the non restricted number. I got a nice person and they helped me anyway
