Some gun owners vote liberal.

This right here. Not a gun owner yet (PAL pending), but I personally find a lot of issues more pressing than guns, such as education, healthcare, and affordability. I applied for my PAL for hunting purposes, so that I could save some money on food while also eating in a more ethical way. Our biggest issue is FPTP — proportional representation or ranked ballots would allow more political viewpoints into Parliament. No party fits 100% of my political viewpoints, but the CPC and I have nothing in common except for guns. That’s not enough for my vote.

Idk man. I live in Ontario. I used to have my eye doctor appointments covered by OHIP, and Ford took that away from me. Now I have to pay out of pocket, $168. OHIP covered medications for under-25s was taken away by Ford. I was affected by that when I was under 25. Those are only 2 examples of previously-funded healthcare that I am now paying out of pocket for. I’m sure there are people on this group who have their own stories too. Don’t think that your healthcare can’t be affected — it absolutely can. The left leaning parties are the only reason it has remained government-funded.
