Ontario, Monday will be 11 weeks since I submitted my RPAL. Watching my CC for the charge with white knuckles.

If I could send myself 3 years ago a message, it would have been 'follow everybody's advice, get both licenses at the same time and buy everything'.

I went back and got my RPAL out of spite when they banned my scary rifle 2 years ago

I know the frustration, my man. I'm at 28 weeks as of tomorrow, as a new applicant to get approved. 2 days after the RCMP received my application the liberals announced they were thinking about banning handguns and thought I had time to go through the motions. After last Monday, I'm wishing I took the courses and applied more than a decade ago.

Haha nice 😭 im at 51 weeks and waiting now, for my PAL. I feel like they lost all my paperwork and is to embarrassed to tell me...

😮... 51 WEEKS?!? Bro! That's crazy, I'm assuming that you tried reaching out already. I'm actually annoyed on your behalf since calling in after the announcement has proven even more difficult for others apparently.

Yea i have tried every month for the last 5 months, goona call tomorrow, its just so annoying, and it feels like there is nothing i can do.

Fair, I saw your other post in this thread. First I recommend talking to the CFO directly if you haven't, I personally tried emailing my province's and it seems like calling might be better. I saw that Alberta's CFO's extension is 9026 I think? Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong.

If that doesn't work I read others recommending people contact their MPs. I've seen a few threads where they successfully lit a fire under their feet to process applications.

3 weeks since they received my application. If only I listened to my buddy who got me into target shooting 2 years ago and did my courses that year…

I have a feeling my license will be approved the same day the freeze goes into effect this fall.

I regret not calling more often for an update, i got my CC charged back in February. Tried calling for a few days in April for an update or if there's been an issue, couldn't get through.

Still waiting and the phone lines are even more clogged up than normal. by time i get my rpal, pistols are either gonna be banned, transfers banned, are selling for 2x/3x their normal prices
