Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Ontario, Monday will be 11 weeks since I submitted my RPAL. Watching my CC for the charge with white knuckles.

If I could send myself 3 years ago a message, it would have been 'follow everybody's advice, get both licenses at the same time and buy everything'.

I regret not calling more often for an update, i got my CC charged back in February. Tried calling for a few days in April for an update or if there's been an issue, couldn't get through.

Still waiting and the phone lines are even more clogged up than normal. by time i get my rpal, pistols are either gonna be banned, transfers banned, are selling for 2x/3x their normal prices
