I've got a question about restricted transfer

I ordered a 1911 from Northern Elite in Sask on Tuesday (I'm in Ontario), and they initiated the transfer then. Do I need to call the CFO to complete the transfer? Do they call me? Figured I'd ask here before I attempt to call the CFO 80 times trying to at least get on hold instead of automatically hung up on lol

Buyer only needs to call for a person to person transfer, not from a store. Stores us a web portal to initiate transfer.

Oh sweet, guess I just gotta hurry up and wait now.

How about the ATT? The gun is being mailed to me (eventually I suppose), but I can't really call for an ATT untill I've got the registration info and whatnot I believe. Does the CFO/Northern Elite email me the info I need for that?

It's my first time getting a restricted so I've got Zero clue how that all works

ATT is automatic with the registration. You will have to wait for that and your new PAL in the mail because paper.

Then you are good to go to any range and back in a reasonably direct route as long as it's not loaded and double locked and you are carrying rPAL, conditions, and registration. And you don't open the case.

Ah ok that makes sense now. I thought I had to apply for an ATT myself to bring the thing home from the post office.

Thanks for the help mate!

Friendly reminder: depends on if it’s being mailed. If you’re picking up bring a trigger lock or you’ll have to buy one from the store haha

Thanks! It's being mailed; I ordered it from Sask and I'm in Ontario; might be interesting if I went to pick it up in person lol

I often get so excited I forget to bring a lock with me… and now I have 4 locks at home 🤦🏻‍♂️

Lol usually when I buy it's an impulse purchase, but I always get those weird shitty red screw on trigger locks that come with the gun

Mind you I only have bought NR before so maybe R is different?

R often comes with a cable lock inside but of course we can’t just open that and use that lol
