Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Ah ok that makes sense now. I thought I had to apply for an ATT myself to bring the thing home from the post office.

Friendly reminder: depends on if it’s being mailed. If you’re picking up bring a trigger lock or you’ll have to buy one from the store haha

Thanks! It's being mailed; I ordered it from Sask and I'm in Ontario; might be interesting if I went to pick it up in person lol

I often get so excited I forget to bring a lock with me… and now I have 4 locks at home 🤦🏻‍♂️

Lol usually when I buy it's an impulse purchase, but I always get those weird shitty red screw on trigger locks that come with the gun

Mind you I only have bought NR before so maybe R is different?

R often comes with a cable lock inside but of course we can’t just open that and use that lol
