so what are the thoughts on the Uvalde school shooting?

Disasters like this are central to discussions of gun control.

I know most of the takes are going to be garbage, interested to see if there will be anything new and reasonable in the replies.

So what are your thoughts on the Ottawa protests?

It is interesting that no one can come out and just say something like:

The Uvalde shooting is a horrific and unbelievably tragic situation. Americans need to talk about firearms and the mental health of people that have access to them.
