So what do we think these new measures are going to be ? My fear is an all out ban on semi autos

I think in terms of handguns, a R cap will be instated. I'm 50/50 on a municipal ban since the coverage would be miniscule and the antis really don't like it. Something maybe like 2-3 Rs a year or a hard limit.

Magazines - retroactive sale/transfer of magazines that can hold more than "legally limited" (ex. 30rds pinned to 5) will become illegal. I think cofniscation would be too much of a task in this case. But from hereon mags would have to be blocked completely to 5/10, not 5/30 or 10/30.

PALs will be required for gun parts, accessories, and magazines.

"80%s" will be considered firearms.

This is what has been shown in the SECU report so it's likely this will be the case.

I believe it was in a grey area and the RCMP came out with their own opinion on it that effectively made them prohibited, was moot anyways. But this is more about Glocks I assume, specific wording was "reciever blanks".
