I'm gonna get downvoted to oblivion, but the reality is that a lot of shitty criminals who can't buy a real illegal handgun use an airsoft one because it looks so similar. There has to be some mechanism to discourage shit criminals from doing shit criminal things.

Discourage the guy from walking into a store when they can have it delivered to their door from an online shop or Amazon?
