Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Gotta love how how Carney was elected on being a master negotiator and crisis man and 1.5 years has nothing to show for it and we’re getting ground into dust. Judging by his supporters discourse on Reddit and X, they’re in a negative feedback loop where the worse he does and the more tarrifs we get the more they’re convinced he is a god. It even seems like they’re willing to nuke our economy over this. Pretty scary shit. We’re in a mass psychosis

Worst part is Premiers like Ford are actively considering doing things that will fuck the entirety of Canada and not just Ontario... With the recent crap, I would not surprise me if Ford cuts water/electricity exports to New York and Michigan, all for the sake on riding on the elbows up (the ass) momentum from the low IQ electorate in the 905 and Ottawa areas, given his polling numbers have tanked... Then of course, he will likely back down when Trump threatens with even higher tariffs, or maybe the elbows up psychosis will keep him firm as the whole country suffers because of one retard in Ontario.
